Ann Mendicino Ross; 89; of North Belle Vernon; died Thursday; April 14; 2011; at 7:28 p.m. in Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born Jan. 22; 1922; in North Belle Vernon; she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Josephine Ambrose Mendicino. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon; Mrs. Ross was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; was a homemaker; member of the former Catholic Daughters Of The Americas Belle Vernon Court 1522; Belle Vernon Golden Age Assembly and the former Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law; John J. and Cindy Ross Jr.; of North Belle Vernon; Anthony (Toby) Ross and Michael Ross; both at home; Thomas and Trenise Ross; of Stephens City; Va.; three grandchildren; Laurie; Thomas and Travis Ross; three great-grandchildren; Brook; Brian and Brianna Rotheran; a brother; Michael Mendicino; of North Belle Vernon; three sisters and four brothers-in-law; Rose and Leo Sabatini; of Almont; Mich.; Norma and Ralph Falbo; of White Oak; Teresa and Donald O’Toole; of North Belle Vernon; and Nick Nuccetelli; of Jeannette. She was preceded in death by her husband; John J. Ross Sr.; who passed July 11; 2001; a granddaughter; Sherry Ross Rotheran; two brothers; Joseph and James F. Mendicino; a sister; Adeline Nuccetelli; and two sisters-in-law; Viola Mendicino and Irene Mendicino. Visitation will be held Saturday; April 16; from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday; April 17; from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. Clyde E Barber; Jr.; 82 of Lowber; Fayette City; PA; passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday; march 3; 2012 with his loving family at his side.
He was born March 18; 1929 in Adah; PA; a son of the late Clyde E Barber Sr. and Mary Catherine Cook Barber. Clyde served in the US Army Airborne;Screaming Eagles; during the Korean War. He was a member of the Little Redstone Presbyterian Church and served as a church Deacon. Clyde retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Allenport Plant in 1992. He was a member of Brightwell-Daugherty Post 484; American Legion; Fayette City;Pa.

Amy L Bronson Barber; 82 of Lowber; Fayette City; PA; passed away on Sunday; May 27; 2012 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Connie and Bob Skibo of Fayette City; Pa.
She was born in Lowber on March 8; 1930; daughter of the late George B. and Gertrude Smith Bronson .
Amy graduated from Brownsville High School in 1948. She was very active with the class reunion committee. She was a secretary with the frazier School District; retiring in 1992. She was a lifetime member of Little Redstone Presbyterian Church; and served the church as a Deacon; Elder and Clerk of Session. Amy worked on the election board of Jefferson Twp. as Judge of Elections for 40 years. She volunteered with the Fayette Co. Fair. She was head of the Home Ec. Dept.; Section 18. Amy enjoyed quilting;sewing; baking wedding cakes; her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
