Betty Jane Yowonske; 76; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Wednesday; June 6; 2012; in Presbyterian Senior Care Center in Washington after a year-long battle with multiple health problems. Born in Redstone Township on May 31; 1936; she was the daughter of the late Raymond C. and Helen J. (Grabiak) Bost. Betty was the proud owner and operator of a small fishing bait-and-tackle shop on Route 51 in Rostraver. She loved baking pies; cooking; auctions and selling at flea markets. Most of all; Betty enjoyed her time with family and friends. She was a member of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Betty was the beloved mother of Sandy Davis and Chuck Sanders of Roscoe and David Yowonske and wife; Kathy; of Kinston; N.C. Betty Bubba is also survived by her grandchildren; Michele and Amos Molek; Jodi and Vince Ripepi; Sam and Trixie Yowonske and Roy and Jacki Davis; great-grandchildren; Reagan and Gunner Molek; Vince; Victoria; Andrew; Christian; Mark and Eric Ripepi and Alexis; Gabe and Brianna Yowonske; Bryttany and Dave Gardner and Troy Davis; sister; Margaret Yensick and her companion; Joe Rusnak; godchild; Sally Cox; aunt; Theressa McCrory; many nieces; nephews and loving cousins; including Georgetta (Steve) Hela and Evonne (Bill) Kelly; her companion; Bill Fell; and a very dear friend; whom she loved like a son; Douglas Smalis. She was a member of the former Catholic Daughters of the Americas Belle Vernon Court 1522; and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed knitting; crocheting; and bingo.
