Edward Andrew Cmar;68;of 213 Rear Crest Ave.;Charleroi died Friday;May 15;1992; at 8:45 a.m. at his home. He was born Jan.28;1924 in Monessen;a son of the late Anthony and Helen Chornak Cmar. Mr.Cmar had resided in Charleroi for the past 35 years. He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church. He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel;Monessen Plant;where he was employed in the Electric Shop. Mr.Cmar is survived by a son;Paul T.Lape of Charleroi;one brother;Steve Cmar of Fayette City;two granddaughters;Paula E.Douyon of Alaska and Jennifer S.Lape of Charleroi;one great-granddaughter;and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Katherine Lape Cmar on Sept.30;1979;four sisters;Anna Smerick;Helen Pustinger;Marie Garafalo and Elizzabeth Checci;and two brothers;George Cmar and Michael Cmar. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev.David Jastrab;pastor of Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church;officiating. Richard J. Crosby Sr.; 87; of
513 First St.; Monessen; died
Wednesday; April 29; 1992; at 4
a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital
Inc.. Carroll Township.
Born May 23; 1904; in Salem;
W.Va.; he was the son of the late
Richard and Bessie Jack
Crosby.
A Monessen resident since
1934; Mr. Crosby had been
employed as a motion picture
projectionist throughout the
Mon Valley area. His career
began with silent films and concluded upon his retirement when
the former Manos Theater in
Monessen ceased its operations.
He was a member of St. Paul
Lutheran Church; Monessen;
and the Mon Valley
Leathernecks; and served as
business agent for the Motion
Picture Machine Operators
Union Local 628 of the AFL-CIO.
He also served as past post commander of Veterans of Foreign
Wars Post 1190; Monessen.
He served as a Marine guard
for the U.S. Legation in Peking;
China; during the 1920s and was
awarded the Yangtze Service
Medal in Shanghai in 1927 while
on expeditionary duty there as a
member of a landing party from
the U.S.S. Chaumont.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by a
brother; Lawrence; and three
sisters; Ella and Betty Crosby
and Marion Ruby.
Surviving are his wife; Eloise
Harman Crosby; two sons;
Richard Crosby of Bethel Park
and Dayne Crosby of Monessen;
three grandchildren; three
nieces and three nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday
evening from 7 to 9 and Friday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the

William J.Cefala;68;of 537 Main St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;April 20;1992;at 10:30 a.m.in Mon Valley hospital Inc.;Cattoll township following a short illness. Born June 30;1923;in Belle Vernon;he was the son of the late Salvatore and Carmela Cimino Cefala. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon;Mr.Cefala was a member of St.Michael Antiochian Orthodox Church;Monessen. He was a member of the former Belle Vernon Musical Society and a current member
ol the American Legion Post in
Belle Vernon. He also served as president of the Belle Vernon
Sons of Italy.
He graduated in 1941 from
Belle Vernon High School; and
was president ol his class; then
continued his education at
Douglas School of Business;
fom which he was also a
graduate.
He was employed at the
former American Window Glass
Company in Belle Vernon; as a
safety manager for the former
Donora Southern Railroad Company at the state Unemployment Office in Charleroi; and at Stauffer Chemical Company in
Monongahela fom which he
retired as office manager in 1986.
A U.S. Army veteran of World
War II; he served as a tech
sergeant in the Asian-Pacific
Theatre of Conflict.
In November 1992; he
celebrated 44 years of marriage
with his wife; Dorothy Huffman
Cefala; who survives.
In addition to his wife; he is
survived by one daughter; Mrs.
James (Carol ) Huntley of
Austin; Texas; two sisters;Mrs.
Frank (Angelina) Stancato and
Frances Davis; both of Belle
Vernon; and many nieces and
nephews.
Two sisters Rose Marie Antonucci and Josephine Sever
are deceased. Andy (Big Andy) Shesniak; 77 of Fayette City R.D.1; died Thursday;March 2; 1992; at 9:10 a.m. in Mon-Valley Hospital; Carroll Twp. after a lengthy illness. Mr. Sheainak was born Nov. 16; 1914 in Jersey City; N.J.; a son of the late Paul and Catherine Kowalchak Chesniak. He was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Hillman Transportation Corporation. Mr.Shesniak was a member of the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church; Fayette City: the Naomi Athletic Club; the Fayette City American Legion; the Slovak Club in Gillespie; and the Polish National Alliance Club of Arnold City.
Surviving are his wife; Mildred Corcoran Shesniak; one brother; Emil Chesniak; of Chicago; Ill; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Howard W. Mr. Calloway was a member
of the Elks Okay Lodge 79 of
Monessen.
He was Methodist by faith and
had been a resident of Monessen
all of his life. He was a veteran
of the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Calloway retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Mill.
He is survived by four sons;
