Robert D.Clark;74;of Monessen;died Friday;Aug.29;1997;in Mon Valley Hospital. Born April 9;1923;in Belle Vernon;he was the son of the late David and Margaret Clark. Mr.Clark was a retired railroad conductor on the Monessen Southwestern Railroad. A World War II veteran;he was a member of American Legion Post 28;Monessen. He was also a member of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints in Fayette City. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Doris E.Clark. Surviving are a daughter;Debbie Holmes of Monessen;three sons and two daughters-in-law;Bill G.and Donna Clark of Stockdale;Bob Clark of Nashville;Tenn.;one brother and sister-in-law;Dave and Betty Clark of Kissimmee;Fla.;and three grandchildren;Crystal and Tanya Clark of Stockdale and Shannon of Nashville;Tenn. Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Rhome Funeral Home;Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen;where services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev.William Mines officiating. Mr.Cernicky was born May 28;1940;in Belle Vernon;a son of the late David Cernicky and Helen Ann Cowan Cernicky;who survives. He had been a patient at The South Mountain Restoration Center for the past 12 years and was a Catholic by faith. Surviving are two sons;Dennis and Derrik Cernicky;both of Long Branch;a daughter;Mrs.Michael (Denise) Green of Fredericktown;a granddaughter;Kaitlin Marie Green;and a brother and sister-in-law;William and Linda Cernicky of Belle Vernon.
