He was born Aug. 3; 1931; in
Monessen; a son of the late
Simuel S. and Ruth Rochester
Calloway.
Mr. Calloway was a member
of the Elks Okay Lodge 79 of
Monessen.
He was Methodist by faith and
had been a resident of Monessen
all of his life. He was a veteran
of the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Calloway retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Mill.
He is survived by four sons;
David Calloway; Donald
Calloway and Samuel Calloway
Jr.; all of Pittsburgh and Glenn
Barber of Monessen; three
daughters; Crystal Calloway of
Brownsville; Sharese Bass of
Charleroi and Mellicent Barber
of Monessen; three stepdaughters; one brother; George
E. Calloway of Victorville;
Calif.; two sisters; Rachael
Turner of Monessen and Bessie
J. Davis of Joliet; Ill.; two
grandchildren: and friend;
Kathy Barber of Monessen.

Monessen; Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.in the Wayman AME Church with the Rev.Robert C.Taylor officiating. An Elk service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 7 p.m. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The William R.Taylor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

He was born in Italy on Oct. 5;
1921; a son of the late Luigi and
Maria Perri Caruso.
Mr. Caruso was a member of
St. Sebastian Roman Catholic
Church of Belle Vernon and the
Italian Club of Monessen.
He had lived in Belle Vernon
since 1945 and was formerly of
Monessen.
A former auto body repairman; he last worked at Waltz
Mill; Westinghouse Plant; from
where he retired in 1986.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by a
brother; Thomas Caruso.
He is survived by his wife;
Martina Piacentino Caruso;
with whom he celebrated 46
years of marriage on April 5;
1991; two daughters; Mrs. Andrew (Maria) Adametz of Belle
Vernon and Mrs. Donald
(Louise) Cox of Brownsville; a
sister; Mrs. Josephine Rettura
of Monessen; and four grandchildren; Richard and Lisa
Adametz and Tricia and
Christopher Cox.

following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Monessen on
Oct. 7; 1924; a daughter of the
late Samuel and Mary Stankovich Hofenic.
Mrs. Carroll was a member of
St. Sebastian Roman Catholic
Church of Belle Vernon and had
been a resident of Belle Vernon
for the past 32 years.
In 1987 she retired from Corning Glass Works; where she had
been employed as a secretary.
She is survived by her husband; Thomas (Mitch) Carroll;
a son; Bruce M. Carroll; at
home; a daughter; Michelle Carroll; at home; and two sisters;
Mrs. George (Mary) Patrick of
Monessen and Mrs. John (Anna) Muha of Fairless Hills.

She was born Dec. 15;1914; in

A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area; she was Protestant.
Mrs. Cullen was preceded in
death by her husband. Jack F.
Cullen; who died April 9; 1977;
and by a great-granddaughter; Alma Shipe;who died in 1989. Survivors include one son;George F.Cullen of Elizabeth;two daughters;Mrs.Peter (Alma) DiGrino of Donora and Mrs.Wayne (Jackie) Nieb of Florida;13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
