Harold S.Robins;95;of Kane Regional Center; McKeesport;
formerly of Belle Vernon; died
Friday; Nov. 29; 1991; at 1 a.m.
in McKeesport Hospital.
He was born April 22; 1896; in
Adrian; Mich.; a son of the late
Walter and Lisbeth Seelye
Robins.
Mr. Robins was a member of
the First United Methodist
Church of Belle Vernon; where
he was a member and officer of
the church choir for many
years. He had served on the
Board of Trustees of the church
for 15 years.
Active in amateur radio
circles in the Mid Mon Valley;
Mr. Robins was a past officer of
the Monessen Radio Club and
had served as the local
representative of the Military
Affiliate Radio System until
1974.
Mr. Robins; who had been a
resident of Kane Regional
Center since June of this year;
had resided with his daughter in
Elizabeth Township the past five
years.
He retired in 1966 from the
steam and combustion department of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh
Steel Corporation’s Monessen
plant.
He was a veteran of World War I; having served with the
317th Infantry Regimental
Band.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by his
wife; Lucille Morrell Robins;
who died in 1979; and by a sister;
Frances; in 1950.
Survivors include one
daughter; Mrs. William R.
(Elaine) Boyles of Elizabeth
Township; one sister; Katherine
Huscroft of Greensburg; two
grandchildren; Dr. William L.
and Robert K. Benedetti; both of
Elizabeth Township; and six
great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in
the Ferguson Funeral Home
Inc.; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon;where services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Dr.Thomas St.Clair;pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon or the charity of one’s choice. Lauretta G.Bronson Renner;69;of Lowber;Fayette City R.D.1;died on Sunday;Sept.15;1991;at 11:50 p.m.in Haven Crest Inc.;Carroll Township;after a lengthy illness. She was born in Jefferson Township;Fayette County;on March 6;1922;a daughter of the late George B.and Gertrude Smith Bronson. Mrs.Renner was a member of Little Redstone United Presbyterian Church in Fayette City R.D.1 and the church choir;Mon Valley Lowery Organ Society;and the Fayette County Area Community Choir. She worked at Haven Crest Inc.and the former Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital Inc. She retired as a licensed practical nurse from the new Mon Valley Hospital Inc. Mrs.Renner was preceded in death by three husbands;Victor P.Kaylor;Ray Dennis and Norman L.Renner;and one daughter;Nina F.Wargo. Surviviors include one son;Victor Dean-Kaylor of Lowber;Fayette City R.D.1;five grandchildren and one great-grandson;two brothers;Charles Bronson of Lowber;Fayette City R.D.1 and George Bronson of Fairhope;Belle Vernon;two sisters;Mrs.Nat (LaVerna) Gatalo of Cincinnati;Ohio;and Mrs.Clyde (Amy) Barber of Lowber;Fayette City R.D.1;an aunt;Sylvia Glotfelty of Lowber;Fayette City R.D.1;and Renner stepchildren and step-grandchildren. James Odilon Rodier;71;of 105 Shady Ave.;Bentleyville;died unexpectedly Thursday;June 27;1991;in his home. Mr.Rodier was born Sept.27;1919;in Charleroi;a son of the late Odilon Emil and Margaret Palfrey Rodier. He was a retired steelworker;formerly employed at the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. A resident of Bentleyville since 1952;Mr.Rodier had previously lived in Charleroi. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church;Charleroi;and the United Steel Workers of America Local Union No.1187 in Allenport. Mr.Rodier was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II;having served as technical sergeant with Company I;22nd Infantry Regiment. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was also a member of American Legion Post No.165;Bentleyville;Disabled American Veterans;Mon Valley Chapter 131:and the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the National 4th Infantry (IVY) Division Association. His wife;Florence E.Lang Rodier;whom he married July 13;1952;survives. Also surviving are two sisters;Mrs.Albert (Grace) Mayernick of Charleroi and Katherine Bruce of Monessen;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. in the Kenneth V.Thompson Funeral Home;809 Main St.;Bentleyville. Born Jan.8;1909;in Charleroi;she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Bartak Keracik. Mrs.Rowley was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon. She was Protestant by faith and a member of the Goodwill Club;Charleroi. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;William H.Rowley;on Feb.3;1980;two sisters;Mary Balaska ad Ethel Barcelona;two brothers;Joseph Keracik and John Keracik;and a grandson;Brian Shumaker.
