Mr.Roskovich was Catholic by faith and a retired coal miner;having worked for 38 years at Mathies Mine. Richard S.Rogus;65;of 819 Jane Ave.;Charleroi (Speers Hill);died Wednesday;Jan.25;1989;at 11:15 p.m.at his home. He was born May 22;1923;in Hazelton;a son of the late Stanley and Clara Borowiak Rogus. Mr.Rogus had lived in Speers for the past 30 years and was a member of the borough’s Planning Commission. He retired in June;1988;after 39 years of service with the Allegheny Power Service Co.in Greensburg;where he had been the area transmission supervisor. He was a member of St.Jerome Roman Catholic Church;Charleroi;the Charleroi Elks;where he was a past exalted ruler;the Charleroi VFW;the Charleroi Sportsmen’s Club;and the Professional Engineering Society of Pennsylvania. He was a U.S.Marine veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.
