Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. A parish Rosary will be said Thursday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Frank Roskovich;77;of Arnold City;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;Feb.19;1989;at 8:30 p.m.in Washington Hospital;Washington;Pa.;following a lengthy illness. He was born in Czechoslovakia on Sept.17;1911;a son of the late John and Eva Madulick Roskovich. Mr.Roskovich was Catholic by faith and a retired coal miner;having worked for 38 years at Mathies Mine. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his first wife;Margaret Yensick Roskovich;in 1956;one son;Frank R.Roskovich;in 1984 and four brothers. Richard S.Rogus;65;of 819 Jane Ave.;Charleroi (Speers Hill);died Wednesday;Jan.25;1989;at 11:15 p.m.at his home. He was born May 22;1923;in Hazelton;a son of the late Stanley and Clara Borowiak Rogus. Mr.Rogus had lived in Speers for the past 30 years and was a member of the borough’s Planning Commission. He retired in June;1988;after 39 years of service with the Allegheny Power Service Co.in Greensburg;where he had been the area transmission supervisor. He was a member of St.Jerome Roman Catholic Church;Charleroi;the Charleroi Elks;where he was a past exalted ruler;the Charleroi VFW;the Charleroi Sportsmen’s Club;and the Professional Engineering Society of Pennsylvania. He was a U.S.Marine veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his wife;Anne Bedio Rogus;two sons;Richard Rogus of Monroeville and Ronald Rogus of Boston;Mass.;one daughter;Mrs.David (Diane) Varner;at home;two grandchildren;Deena Varner and Brent Rogus;one brother;Bernard Rogus of Philadelphia;and one sister;Nancy Lynn of Bloomsburg. He was born Sept.12;1933;in Monessen;a son of the late Jacob S.and Edith Reynolds Rogers. Mr.Rogers lived in Belle Vernon for 25 years;prior to moving to Reading five years ago;where he was employed by the Rufflian Steel Corp.as a machinist. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his wife;Sandra Farkas Rogers of Belle Vernon;one son and daughter-in-law;Timothy and Maureen Rogers of Pittsburgh;his mother-in-law;Essen Farkas of Belle Vernon;and two sisters;Mrs.Lee Brown and Margaret Rogers;both of Saxton.
