He was born in Webster on July 23;1909;son of the late Andrew and Susan Sakalik;and had been a lifelong resident of Rostraver Twp. Mr.Sakalik was a retired construction foreman from the Monesssen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He belonged to the United Mineworkers of America and the Golden Agers of Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by two brothers;Michael and George Sakalik. Surviving are his widow;Mary Ferenz Sakalik;one son;John George Sakalik of Belle Vernon R.D.2;one daughter;Dolores Sakalik of Dunlevy;two sisters;Mrs.William (Ann) Smoody of Pricedale and Mrs.John (Mary) Dolola of Romulus;Mich.;three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
