George M. (Smiles) Sudor of 36 North Route 88;Charleroi;died Sunday;June 19;1977 at 6:35 p.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital following an illness of several months. He was born Dec.3;1907 in Monessen and was a resident of the Mon Valley area his entire life. He was retired from the Wire Department of the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. His wife;Julia;preceded him in death in June 1971. Survivors include four daughters;Mrs.Mildred DeAngelis of Monessen;Mrs.John (Betty) DeBerardinis of North Charleroi;Mrs.Walter (Estelle) Bianchi of Newell;and Mrs.James (Diane) Reber of Irwin;13 grandchildren;and one sister;Mrs.Gino (Bertha) DeAngelis of Monessen. She was born in McKeesport on April 17;1905;daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Moore Rae. She resided in Belle Vernon the past 20 years;formerly having lived in West Newton. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;Belle Vernon Women’s Club;Pennsylvania Retired Teachers Association and the American Associastion of Retired Persons (AARP). She also belonged to the Golden Agers in Belle Vernon;Charleroi;Monessen and Fayette City. Edward A.Sabol of Belle Vernon R.D.2 died suddenly yesterday at 1:50 p.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital after he was stricken ill while working on his automobile. He was 53. Jacob C.Schmidt of 312 Graham St.;Belle Vernon;died Friday;March 4;1977;at 6:30 p.m.in the West Penn Hospital;Pittsburgh.;after an illness of six months. He was 66. Born in West Brownsville on Feb.17;1911;he was a son of the late Jacob and Alice Gough Schmidt;and had lived in the Belle Vernon area the past 64 years. Mr.Schmidt was a member of the First Presbyterian Chruch of Belle Vernon where he was chairman of the Board of Ushers. He was a life member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department and belonged to the Charleroi Sportsmen’s Club. He retired in 1975 from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp where he worked as an operator in the No.3 Hot Mill. Surviving are his widow;Vera Hoffman Schmidt;one son;Ronald J.Schmidt of Newfane;N.Y.;one daughter;Mrs.Charles (Sharlene) Wolford of Springfield;Ill.;and seven grandchildren.
