Frank Sabbarese; a brother;
Guy Karelli of Belle Vernon;
and a sister; Rose Chambers
of Belle Vernon.

Edward A.Sabol of Belle Vernon R.D.2 died suddenly yesterday at 1:50 p.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital after he was stricken ill while working on his automobile. He was 53. Mr.Sabol was born Dec.11;1923;in Monessen;a son of Anna Zevok Sabol;who survives;and the late Andrew Sabol;who preceded him in death on Aug.9;1964. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 643 and American Legion Post 659;both of Belle Vernon;and Hilltop Firemans’s Club;Monessen. Survivors include his mother;Anna Zevok Sabol;at home;a daughter;Barbara A.Sabol of Monessen;two aunts;Dorothy Hlopko;at home and Elizabeth Troychak of Long Beach;Calif. Jacob C.Schmidt of 312 Graham St.;Belle Vernon;died Friday;March 4;1977;at 6:30 p.m.in the West Penn Hospital;Pittsburgh.;after an illness of six months. He was 66. Born in West Brownsville on Feb.17;1911;he was a son of the late Jacob and Alice Gough Schmidt;and had lived in the Belle Vernon area the past 64 years. Mr.Schmidt was a member of the First Presbyterian Chruch of Belle Vernon where he was chairman of the Board of Ushers. He was a life member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department and belonged to the Charleroi Sportsmen’s Club. He retired in 1975 from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp where he worked as an operator in the No.3 Hot Mill. Surviving are his widow;Vera Hoffman Schmidt;one son;Ronald J.Schmidt of Newfane;N.Y.;one daughter;Mrs.Charles (Sharlene) Wolford of Springfield;Ill.;and seven grandchildren. Battalion.

Alfred Smith of 479 McKee Ave.;Monessen;died Monday Feb.28;1977 at 4 p.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital following a brief illness. He was 81. Mr.Smith was born Feb.17;1896 in Brownsville and lived in Monessen for the past 50 years. He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Thelma Mae Sellman of the Belle Vernon Apartments;formerly of Belle Vernon R.D.1;died Sunday;Nov.21;1976;in Petersburg Hospital;Petersburg;Va. Mrs.Sellman took ill on her return trip from Florida with the Belle Vernon Golden agers. She was born Jan.28;1903 in Fayette City;a daughter of the late John and Frances Bowmaster Worley. She was a member of Pricedale Union Church and also attended Belle Vernon Presbyterian Church. In addition;she was a member of the Belle Vernon Goldn Agers. Her husband;William Thomas Sellman;preceded her in death in 1972.
