Edward A.Sabol of Belle Vernon R.D.2 died suddenly yesterday at 1:50 p.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital after he was stricken ill while working on his automobile. He was 53. Jacob C.Schmidt of 312 Graham St.;Belle Vernon;died Friday;March 4;1977;at 6:30 p.m.in the West Penn Hospital;Pittsburgh.;after an illness of six months. He was 66. Born in West Brownsville on Feb.17;1911;he was a son of the late Jacob and Alice Gough Schmidt;and had lived in the Belle Vernon area the past 64 years. Mr.Schmidt was a member of the First Presbyterian Chruch of Belle Vernon where he was chairman of the Board of Ushers. He was a life member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department and belonged to the Charleroi Sportsmen’s Club. He retired in 1975 from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp where he worked as an operator in the No.3 Hot Mill.
