He is survived by his wife;Marcella;one son;Sgt.August Strumbus;Jr.;U.S.Army;four daughters;Agnes and Helen at home;Mrs.Walter Wozniak of Fairhope and Mrs.Albert Neale of Belle Vernon R.D.;two sisters;Agnes Valentine of Mansfield;Ohio and Mrs.Anthony Kesros;also of Mansfield;Ohio. Three grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received at the late home;and services will be held there Monday;October 11;1943;at 9 a.m.;followed by additional services in St.Edward’s Church in Fayette City at 10 a.m. Rev.John Sedlak will have charge of services and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. William H.Simpson;age 60 years;died at his home at 608 Lookout avenue;Charleroi;Friday;April 30;1943 at 4:15 a.m. after an illness of five days. He was born in Bristoria;Pa.on May 25;1882 and was a member of the Charleroi Christian Church and the Turner club. He came to Charleroi thirty-six years ago from Waynesburg and was a contractor by trade. He is survived by his wife;Mary Ann Hays Simpson;two sons;Theodore of Clairton and Wayne of Brightwood;two daughters;Mrs.David McCuen of North Charleroi and Mrs.William Parsons of Neville Island;Pa.;four brothers;Dave of Greene County;Samuel of Washington;Pa;James of Claysville;John of Waynesburg;and four sisters;Emma Anderson of Waynesburg;Lottie Berry of Pittsburgh;Nancy Jenny of Pittsburgh and Ellen Simpson of Washington. Eight grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received at the late home until time for services on Monday;May 3;1943; at 2 p.m. Rev.Byron R.Mahan will have charge of services and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
