Born Feb. 22; 1922; in Washington Township; he was a son of the late Louis Rog and Anna Rog Bilski and Joseph Bilski Sr. He was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church in Fayette City; PNA Lodge 976 of Arno1d City; and Brightwell Daugherty American Legion Post 484; Fayette City. He was a veteran of World War II; having served in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co.; Monessen plant. In addition to his parents; he was predeceased by an infant sister; Florence; and four brothers; George; Clement; Joseph Jr. and John. Survivors include his wife; Julia Ercegovich Bilski; with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on July 28; 2001; and children; Sandra Bilski and Carol Bilski; both of Arnold City; Michael Bilski and wife Peggy of Monessen; and Robert Bilski of Arnold City; a brother; Floyd Bilski of Arnold City; a sister; Adeline Barch of Washington Township; one granddaughter; Melissa Lemley and husband Scott of Monessen; and two great-grandsons; Kaleb and Jayden Lemley. Bonny A. Lancaster Varega; 73; of Carroll Township; formerly of Broad Avenue; North Belle Vernon; died Tuesday; Jan. 8; 2002; at 8:51 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. Born Jan. 4; 1929; in Gibsonton; she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Winnifred James Lancaster. Mrs. Varega was a resident of Monongahela for the past five years; having previously resided in North Belle Vernon for 42 years. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Monessen. Mrs. Varega was retired from the Belle Vernon Area School District; where she worked as a cafeteria cook and was a member and past president of the former Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; John Thomas Jack and Aldaleah Varega of Perryopolis; two daughters and sons-in-law; Gwen and Ronald Halkias of Brandon; Fla.; and Beverly and Michael Tokar of Carroll Township; one brother; Thomas Lancaster; and two sisters; Beverly Mitchell and Ardyth Rowe; all of Gibsonton; four grandchildren; Shawn Varega of Hollywood; Calif.; and Rhiannon; Michael and Malory Tokar; all of Carroll Township. She had resided most of her adult life in Belle Vernon and was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church of Masontown. A seamstress and beautician; she owned and operated Mildred’s Beauty Shop in Fairhope from 1960 to 1997. Mr. Burton was Protestant by faith. He retired from the Atlas Merchandising Co. where he was general manager. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. She was a member of Bethany Bible Fellowship of Charleroi and had lived in Belle Vernon most of her life. She retired in 1982 after 15 years with the former Miller’s Department Store of Charleroi. She was retired from the Corning Glass Works Charleroi Plant.
