Joseph A. Carpy Kostelac; 82; of (Fairhope) Belle Vernon; died Friday; May 14; 2004; in Country Care Manor; Fayette City; after a lengthy illness. He was born in Fairhope; Washington Township; Fayette County; Oct. 16; 1921; a son of the late James and Mary Berenik Kostelac. Also preceded in death by his wife; Helen Diggins Kostelac; a son; Richard Eugene Kostelac; and grandson; Richard Shane Kulik. He was Catholic by faith. He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. with more than 40 years of service at the Monessen plant. A World War II veteran; he served in the U.S. Army with the 275th Infantry. He was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post and the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club; where he was a life member. He is survived by a son; Joseph A. Robert A. Pireaux; 73; of Fallowfield Township; went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday; May 11; 2004; in his home following a lengthy illness. He was born Oct. 24; 1930; in Charleroi; a son of the late Amil and Ethel Bizet Pireaux. He was a member of the Calvary Bible Church of Fallowfield Township. Mr. Pireaux was a 1950 graduate of Charleroi High School; where he was an all-star guard on the football team. He was inducted into the Charleroi High School Hall of Fame in 1988. Mr. Pireaux was retired as a structural ironworker with Ironworkers Local 3 of Pittsburgh. He was a chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy Sea Bees during the Korean Conflict; serving mostly in the Aleutian Islands and the Philippines. He is survived by his wife of 53 years; Peggy Raisbeck Pireaux; two daughters and sons-in-law; Debbie and Gary Kossol of Eugene; Ore.; and Dana and Jack Cole of Fallowfield Township; five grandchildren; Ryan; Sean and Erin Kossol and Monica and Rachel Cole; his mother-in-law; Margaret Raisbeck of Fallowfield Township; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Marlene and Tom Bert of Independence; Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. A daughter of the late Frank and Delillah Hockenberry Bauer; she was born in Fayette City on July 6; 1903. She was a member of the Marion Presbyterian Church and retired in 1958 from the former West Penn Water Company in Charleroi and Monessen. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. Nathaniel Mosley; 88; of Monessen; went home to be with the Lord on Friday; May 7; 2004; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born in Birmingham; Ala.; on Oct. 25; 1916; he was a son of the late William and Sally Mosley. He was employed by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Monessen Plant; where he worked as a crane operator until his retirement. Mr. Mosley was a very active and faithful deacon and member of Christian Life Ministries Inc.; Donora. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law; Evelyn Mosley and Burnell Robinson of Monessen and Janice Mosley Smith of McKeesport; three sons; Nathaniel Mosley Jr. of New York City; Charles Mosley of Uniontown; and Robert Mosley of Birmingham; Ala.; one sister; Erma Mosley of the state of California; 50 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren. Mr. Mosley is also survived by a wife; Emma Mosley; and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins and friends. He was married to the late Evelyn Phillips-Mosley; who passed away in 1993; and to the late Earstie Mosley. William L. Trenk; 52; of Belle Vernon; went to be with the angels on Saturday; May 8; 2004. He was born April 19; 1952; in North Charleroi; a son of the late William Trenk and Helen Melanowsky Trenk; who survives and resides in Fairhope; Belle Vernon. He was a member of The Christian Center of Belle Vernon. Mr. Trenk was a veteran of the U.S. Army; having served in Germany during the Vietnam. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Mr. White was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company; Monessen plant; where he worked for 38 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years; Marietta S. White. He is survived by two sons; Craig White of Orange Park; Fla.; and James White of Smithfield; five grandchildren; Amanda; Craig P.; and Kaitlyn of Orange Park; Fla.; and Lindsey and Ashley of Smithfield. She was a 1940 graduate of Monessen High School and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She was a retired bookkeeper; having worked for Keystone Bakery in Monessen. After retiring; she worked part time at the Monessen Public Library and District Center. Mrs. Sabol was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates baseball fan; loved to work on crossword puzzles and played cards with several card clubs. She is survived by one brother; Joseph E.
