Rowena A. Kioski; 93; formerly of Belle Vernon; passed away Tuesday; Feb. 22; 2011; in the home of her son in Ligonier. A daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret Jones Winstone; she was born in Monessen on Jan. 10; 1918. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon and the Eastern Star; Chapter 205; of Monessen. Formerly of Belle Vernon; she had resided in Ligonier for the past six months. Rowena loved sewing afghans and quilts and had worked as a secretary for the former Githens Insurance Agency in Belle Vernon. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; William and Dorothy Kioski; with whom she made her home in Ligonier; two grandchildren; Craig Kioski; of Denver; Colo.; and Kristen Huskey; and her husband; Brian; of Allison Park; and two great-grandchildren; Kate and Matthew Huskey. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; William Kioski; in 1995; and four brothers; David; George; Harry; and James; in infancy; and three sisters; Florence; Margaret and Frances. Born May 25; 1919; in Arnold City; she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Hayno Kosuda. A resident of Rostraver Township; Mrs. Kundrick was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; was a retired cashier from former A&P; Monessen; a member of the former St. Sebastian Church Ladies Guild and a member of the Ladies PA Slovak Catholic Union. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law; John Kundrick Jr. and wife; Lynne; of Erie; two grandchildren; John Pierce Kundrick and Avery Lynne Kundrick. She is preceded in death by her husband; John Kundrick Sr.; on Jan. 7; 2005; brother; John Kasuda; and two sisters; Mary Kuklar and Anna Marcinko.
