Elaine Y. VonBergen; 59; of Donora; passed away Thursday; August 25; 2011 in Uniontown Hospital. A daughter of the late John Edward and Betty Bilisich VonBergen; she was born in N. Charleroi on January 16; 1952. A resident of Donora for the past 21 years; she had formerly resided in Belle Vernon. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; John P. and Kathryn Lunt; one daughter; Tracy Lunt; all of Vanderbilt; four grandchildren; Larry K. Parsons; Brooke E. Blatney; Aiden Z. Lunt and Braiden D. Lunt; and her furry companion; Sassy. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; John D. Marion (Mae) Palfrey Gauden; 92; formerly of Belle Vernon (Fairhope) passed away on Friday; March 14; 2008 in Pensacola; FL. A daughter of the late Thomas and Elva Mae Burke Palfrey; she was born in Fairhope on August 1; 1915. She was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Shirley and John Melvin; one son; Edward W. Fred R. Riskey; 88; died Tuesday; March 18; 2008 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. A son of the late Fred and Edna Hall Riskey; he was born in Fayette City on August 4; 1919. A resident of Twilight for most of his adult life; Fred was a member of the Roscoe American Legion Post 801; served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army at the Nuremberg Prison and received a bronze star for meritorious achievement in ground combat in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater of Operations and retired in 1975 after 34 years of service from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company. He and his wife built and operated the Twilight Camp Ground for over 20 years and he was responsible for starting the Interstate Camping Signs program. He served as Mayor of Twilight Boro for several years until 1985. In the early 1970’s; he was honored as the ‘Man of the Year’ from the Pennsylvania Camping Association. Fred had a book published on the History of Twilight and had an article published in the North American Whitetail magazine. Survivors include his wife of 66 years; Ruth Clutter Riskey; one daughter and son-in-law; Jeanie and Joe Padavich of Luzerne Twp.; one son and daughter-in-law; Paul R. and Connie Riskey of Carroll Twp.; five grandchildren; Paul Riskey Jr. and wife Terri of South Park; Dan Riskey and wife Sherry of Fallowfield Twp.; Todd Riskey of Charleroi; Becky Lipinski and husband Brian of Peters Twp. and Bob Clark; Jr. of Donora and seven great-grandchildren; Dan; Jr.; Carter; Sara and Kurtis Riskey; Zoe Lipinski and Hannah and Chelsey Clark.
