Doris G. Hill (Wheeler) Lawson; 79; of Charleroi; went to be with the Lord on Monday; June 2; 2008; at Mon Valley Care Center after a lengthy illness. Born on May 16; 1929; in Arnold City; she was the daughter of the late George and Hazel Hill. Doris was retired from Monongahela Valley Hospital after 32 years of service. She enjoyed spending time cooking and watching QVC. Mrs. Lawson was a member of Union Baptist Church in Monessen. In addition to her parents; she is preceded in death by her husband; Frank Lawson Sr.; five brothers; Jimmy; Eugene; George; Bruce and Crawford Hill; three sisters; Hazel Garland; Alice Reddick and Mary Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons; Clarence Keith (Darla) Wheeler and Marlon (Vicki) Wheeler; both of Monessen; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; Bess Hill of Cleveland; Ohio; Noryce Jean Hill-Bell of Tampa; Fla.; Addie Lee Lawson of Donora and Mattie Eaddy of Connecticut; a devoted niece; Myrna Garry of Columbia; Md.; a dear friend Helen (Vangie) Jenkins of Philadelphia; extended family; Warren (Shonda) Wheeler of Monessen and Traci (Chandler) Dixon of Maryland; a stepdaughter; Val (Ken) Griffey of Florida; a stepson; Frank Lawson Jr. of Donora; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends will be received Thursday; June 5; from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday; June 6; from 10 to 11 a.m.; the hour of service at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church; 230 Reed Avenue; Monessen; with Elder Jack A. Howell officiating assisted by Minister Millie Thomas. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Ruth Clausi;88;of Meadville;died at the home of her daughter on Monday;June 11;2012. She was born in Webster;Pa on November 12;1923;a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Ferencz Uram. Ruth was a graduate of Rostraver High School and a graduate of Duff’s Business College. She retired from Fox Grocery/Weterau in 1988. Ruth was a member of St. Brigid’s Church. She was active in the Meadville Womens Club;MMC Auxiliary. She enjoyed card parties;line dancing and volunteered at the Active Aging. She is survived by her daughter Cindy Harida (husband;Dave);grandson;Jason Clausi (wife;April) and great-granddaughter;Samantha Clausi. She was preceded in death by her parents;Michael and Mary Ferencz Uram;her husband;Louis Clausi;her son;Thomas Clausi and her brother;Thomas Uram. Friends are being received at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home;Meadville on Thursday June 14;2012 from 2 to 6 p.m. Additional viewing from 11 am to noon on Saturday June 16;2012 at the chapel of Belle Vernon Cemetery. Agnes Kocian Fidnarik; 92; of Carroll Township; formerly of Belle Vernon; died Wednesday; Nov. 18; 2009; at 7:05 a.m. at Mon Valley Care Center; Carroll Township. Born Oct. 2; 1917; in Pricedale; she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mari Janac Kocian. Mrs. Fidnarik was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; a homemaker; member of the former Catholic Daughters of the Americas Belle Vernon Court 1522 and the St. Sebastian Legion of Mary. She is survived by three sisters; Helen Mogan of Massachusetts; Margaret Butera of Charleroi and Dolores Snyder of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband; Joseph Fidnarik; two brothers; Frank Kocian Jr. and Steve Kocian; and three sisters; Rose Sedlak; Mary Blumenstock and Ann Jeffers. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; 724-929-6183. Prayer Service will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. James F. Bump as celebrant.
