Vivian I. Ammon; 90; of Cary; N.C.; formerly of Fellsburg; Rostraver Township; died Saturday; Nov. 24; 2012; in Rex Hospital; Raleigh; N.C. Born in North Charleroi on May 14; 1922; she was the daughter of the late David and Sadie (Gillespie) Winstone. A homemaker; Vivian was a member of Fells United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star Lodge No. 205. Vivian also loved to play bridge. She is survived by her daughter; Sharyn (Thomas) Rohaly of Raleigh; N.C.; granddaughter; Jill (Porter) Darnell of Raleigh; N.C.; great-grandson; Colt Darnell; sister; Lorna Wulf of Toledo; Ohio; and brother; Donald Winstone of Deerfield Beach; Fla. In addition to her parents; Vivian was preceded in death by her husband; Robert C. Ammon on March 12; 1997; three sisters; Dorothy Johnson; Davene McKelvey and Laverne Ferguson; and a brother; David Winstone. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the JAMES C. Harold R. Ferguson; 87; of Roscoe; died Tuesday; June 14; 2011; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born Sept. 28; 1923; in North Charleroi; a son of the late William Scotty and Mable Robbins Ferguson. He was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church and had served as a trustee. He was a decorated Army veteran of World War II. He was also an avid sports fan who loved to read and was an accomplished artist. He worked as a clerk for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Allenport Plant prior to his retirement. Surviving are his daughters; Sheila and husband; Andrew Duda; of Fayette City; and Donna and husband; Joseph Yurko; of Monessen; a son; David and wife; Audrey Ferguson; of Monessen; grandchildren; Jodi Duda; Andrew Mark Duda Jr.; Elaine Marie Dworek and husband; Ted; great-grandchildren; Theodore Joseph TJ Dworek and Gabriella Marie Dworek; two sisters; Harriet Kite and Thelma Traynor; a sister-in-law; Mary Ann Ferguson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; LaVerne E. Winstone Ferguson; and brother; William Ferguson. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC.; family owned and operated as a member of the Golden Rule; 1209 Grand Blvd.; Monessen; where friends will be welcomed on Friday; June 17; from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Saturday; June 18; at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Lois M. Brudnak; 79; of Charleroi; passed away after a brief illness on Saturday; Jan. 15; 2011; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Florent and Jean (Balliard) Theys; she was born Dec. 28; 1931; in Charleroi. She was a former member of the Charleroi Recreation Board and worked for 25 years for Ducoeur Furniture in Charleroi. Left to cherish the many memories of Lois are her daughter; Lois MacDonald and husband; Sean; of Charleroi; son; Michael; with whom she resided; of Charleroi; four grandchildren; Kelli Brudnak; Brett May; Bryan May and wife; Sandra; and Lisa Hartley and husband; Rick; five great-grandchildren; Carley; Lauren and Leah Hartley; and Zach and Alex May; three great-grand puppies; Rex and Benji Hartley and Santana Brudnak; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Michael; who passed away June 4; 2007; brother; George Theys; daughter; Claudia Brudnak May; and great-grandson; Braden Michael Hartley.
