A daughter of the late Peter and Anna Zedila (zendlak) Benlock; she was born in Vesta 7 on Nov. 16; 1921. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon and the former Holy Spirit Catholic Church of Fayette City. Formerly of Arnold City; she had resided in Fairhope since 1957. In her later years; Mary was surrounded by her children and grandchildren; all of whom gave her great happiness. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Dr. Patricia A. Mitchell and Carl Broege; of Glen Ridge; N.J.; one son and daughter-in-law; Jeffrey and Barbara Mitchell; of West Newton; five grandchildren; Dr. Daniele Corsi and husband Dr. Stan Martens; of Glenmoore; Pa.; Matthew Corsi and wife Kelly O’Mara; of Upper Greenwood Lake; N.J.; Dr. Scott Corsi and wife Kristina Ogryzkova-Corsi; of Breda; Netherlands; and Elizabeth Mitchell and Jeffrey Mitchell; both of West Newton; five great-grandchildren; Ben Corsi-Martens; Lucas Corsi-Martens; Emma Corsi-Martens; Mia Corsi- Martens and Nikolai Corsi; and one sister-in-law; Sara Mitchell; of Belle Vernon. Virginia T. Mancuso Alessio; 79; of Belle Vernon; died peacefully in her sleep on Friday; January 16; 2009 in Country Care Manor; Fayette City. A daughter of the late Santo and Lena Mancuso; she was born in Monessen on February 24; 1929. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon; the Golden Agers and had helped the Meals on Wheels Program for several years. A resident of Belle Vernon for most of her adult life; Ginny was a loving wife; mother; grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Survivors include two daughters; Santa Maria ‘Sandy’ Alessio Stewart of Smock and Monica l. Alessio LaCarte of Belle Vernon; four grandchildren; Thomas R. Emily was loved by many and well known for her baking skills and making homemade buns and candy. She was so proud of her children;grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to Polka with her husband. She enjoyed all of the Belle Vernon Area Band Festivities; she was a past president of the band parents Association. Emily worked at Hilltop Drug Store and Grants Department store both in Belle Vernon.

Born May 4; 1923; in Gillespie; she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Susanna (Blasko) Planey. A resident of Rostraver Township for the past 50 years; Mrs. Foglia was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and was retired from the advertising department of Former Hills Department Store; Belle Vernon. She enjoyed watching the Steelers and Pirates; baking; playing bocce and cards. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels; was a member of the Belle Vernon Golden Age Assembly at Center on the Hill and was a social member of the Belle Vernon American Legion. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Ronald and Sue Foglia; of Prescott; Ariz.; and Dennis and Dorothy Foglia; of The Colony; Texas; a daughter and son-in-law; Cheryl and Sam Derr; of Youngwood; six grandchildren; Carly and Brittany Foglia; Kristin and Matthew Foglia; Janine (Derr) Hays and husband; Chris; and Jeremy Derr; three great-grandchildren; Jacob and Madison Hays and Alexander Derr.
