Velma D. Radock; 88; formerly of Fairhope (Belle Vernon); passed away Sunday; Sept. 22; 2013; in the Residence at Hilltop; Carroll Township. A daughter of the late John and Pasquelina Tiano Stankovics; she was born in North Charleroi on April 13; 1925. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Velma enjoyed cooking; knitting and crocheting. During World War II; she was the first woman employed by the Belle Vernon Post Office where she drove a postal truck for bulk deliveries. She had also been a cashier for the former Grant’s Department Store in Monessen; a secretary for the elementary superintendent of the Belle Vernon School District and a secretary at the former J.E. Foss Co. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law; Richard J. and Mary Jo Radock of Fairview; Pa.; two grandchildren; Damian S. Radock and his wife; Lisa Joy; of Fairview; and Ariel S. Radock of Chicago; Ill.; and two great-grandchildren; Everett and Vivian Radock. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years; Richard Radock on Dec. 21; 2004; and a brother; John Bud Stankovics in 1968. Mildred R. (McFall) Rose; 82; of Belle Vernon; died Monday; Jan. 19; 2009; at her residence. Born Aug. 17; 1926; in Charleroi (Twilight Hollow); she was the daughter of the late Arlie and Melissa (Hendrickson) McFall. Mrs. Rose was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Monessen. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; William P. Rose; on Jan 10; 1995; three sisters; Nellie Basim; Grace McCorkle and Iva Steer; and a brother; Thomas McFall. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law; William E. and Mona Rose; of Carmichaels; two daughters; Mary Jane Rose and Deborah L. Rose; both of Belle Vernon; grandchildren; William D. Rose and wife Christina; Melissa E. Leoni and husband Michael; Rachelle M. Rich and Kendall Corso; great-grandchildren; Adrianna J. Leoni; and MaKenna and Maddix; a brother; Glenn McFall; of Bridgeville; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rose loved her two cats; Tawny and Snowy. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC.; 1209 Grand Blvd.; Monessen. Margaret Ann (Bolchak) Pollack; 90; of Fayette City; died Friday; Feb. 24; 2012; at Family Hospice and Palliative Care; Pittsburgh. Born Feb. 9; 1922; in Fayette City; she was the daughter of the late Frank and Magdelyn Halgus Bolchak. Mrs. Pollack was a lifelong resident of Fayette City; was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and the former Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church; Fayette City. She also enjoyed reading; cooking and ironing. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law; Thomas and Mary Jo Pollack; of Peters Township; two daughters and sons-in-law; Ann and Richard Revak; of Fayette City; Sandy and Kevin Whetzel; of Fayette City; five grandchildren; Thomas J. Pollack; Brian Revak; Carissa Erenrich; Jeremy Whetzel and Suzanne Whetzel; four great-grandchildren; Ryan Pollack; Tyler Pollack; Kylie Pollack and Rosalie Revak. She was preceded in death by her husband; Alexander J. Pollack; Aug. 31; 1982; and four brothers; John; Andrew; Joseph and Frank Bolchak.
