Jeanne A. Majors; 93; formerly of North Belle Vernon; passed away on Saturday; Dec. 11; 2010; in Country Meadows Nursing Home; Bridgeville. A daughter of the late Alexander and Isabell Young Allan; she was born in Turtle Creek on Oct. 11; 1917. Jeanne was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; of Belle Vernon; and enjoyed reading and listening to music. She retired in 1996; having been a substitute in the Belle Vernon School District for 25 years and also taught at the Douglas School of Business. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Corless and Jack Haburchak; of Monongahela; one son and daughter-in-law; John and Diane Majors; of Bethel Park; three grandchildren; Jill Urban and her husband; Jim; of Houston; Luke Majors; of Pittsburgh; and Kaitlyn Majors; of Aberdeen; N.C.; and twin great-grandchildren; Timothy and Catherine Urban; one sister; Christina Ford; and one brother; William Allan. Ruedi Kennard Stocker; 67; of Enola; Pa.; went home to be with his Lord and Savior. He passed away Sunday; Oct. 31; 2010; in the Lehigh Valley Health Network; Cedar Crest and I-78; Allentown. He was born in Huntington; N.Y. on Feb. 7; 1943. He was the son to the late Hansruedi and Winnifred Soper Stocker. Methodist by faith; he was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Catasauqua; Pa. Ruedi most recently had attended the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Enola. Since 2001; he had resided in Enola and previously in Northampton; P.; and Buffalo; N.Y. He was a U.S. Army Captain during the Vietnam era; and served in the Corp of Engineers from 1965 to 1967. Ruedi was also a member of the American Legion; Post No. 0945. He had a bachlors of science in business economics and worked in the insurance industry for 40 years. He worked for Allstate Insurance Co. as a claim supervisor from 1967 to 1972 in Washington; D.C.; Maryland Casualty Co. as a senior claim adjuster and then a claim supervisor from 1972 to 1978 in Washington; D.C.; Maryland Casualty Co. as a claim manager from 1978 to 1994 in Buffalo; N.Y.; TIG Insurance Co. as a unit manger from 1994 to 1995 in Bethlehem; Pa.; Cambridge Integrated Services Group; Inc as a unit manager from 1995 to 2001 in Bethlehem; Pa.; and Gallagher Bassett Services; Inc. as a senior claims representative from 2001 to 2008 in Mechanicsburg; Pa. He retired after 40 years in the insurance industry. Ruedi loved spending time with his friends and family. He was an avid fisherman; hunter and sports fan. He also enjoyed walking; reading; being in the woods and watching sunrises and sunsets with the love of his life; Jill. He was loved and adored by every life he touched. William Milton Doyle Jr.; 55; formerly of Charleroi; went to be with the Lord on Tuesday; May 25; 2010; at Hoag Hospital; Newport Beach; California. A son of the late William Milton and Retha Mae Lewandowsky Doyle; he was born on Feb. 10; 1955. For the past 30 years; he has been a resident of California; living in San Diego and Costa Mesa; and was employed by the American Heritage Foundation; a professional fund-raiser. William was a 1973 graduate of Charleroi Area High School. He attended California University and Duquesne University; where he played football and baseball for each; and was the only left-handed pitcher and punter on their teams.
