Vivian L. Hite; 92; of Kaufman; Texas; formerly of Belle Vernon; died Thursday; July 3; 2008; in the Sunflower Park Nursing Home; Kaufman. A daughter of the late Raymond and Lenora Thompson Baird; she was born in Brownsville on July 17; 1915. Prior to her relocation to Texas in 2005; she had resided in Belle Vernon for over 30 years. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law; Jean and Jack Poole; of Merritt Island; Fla.; and Christine and Paul Hoffmeyer; of Kaufman; two sons and daughters-in-law; Thomas and Suzie Barger; of Denton; Texas; and James and Luann Hite; of West Newton; one stepdaughter; Nancy and Bob Shearn; two sisters; Grace Shrader; of Belle Vernon; and Gerry Morningstar; of Wilkinsburg; 13 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Lloyd Hite; in October 1967; two stepsons; Larry and Keith Hite; one sister; Virginia Burry; and one brother; Jack Baird. Jeanne A. Majors; 93; formerly of North Belle Vernon; passed away on Saturday; Dec. 11; 2010; in Country Meadows Nursing Home; Bridgeville. A daughter of the late Alexander and Isabell Young Allan; she was born in Turtle Creek on Oct. 11; 1917. Jeanne was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; of Belle Vernon; and enjoyed reading and listening to music. She retired in 1996; having been a substitute in the Belle Vernon School District for 25 years and also taught at the Douglas School of Business. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Corless and Jack Haburchak; of Monongahela; one son and daughter-in-law; John and Diane Majors; of Bethel Park; three grandchildren; Jill Urban and her husband; Jim; of Houston; Luke Majors; of Pittsburgh; and Kaitlyn Majors; of Aberdeen; N.C.; and twin great-grandchildren; Timothy and Catherine Urban; one sister; Christina Ford; and one brother; William Allan. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; G. Lester Majors; on Sept. 18; 1980.
