Margaret Raisbeck; 102; of Fallowfield Township; went home to be with the Lord on Thursday; Jan. 22; 2009; in Naveah Cove Assisted Living; Fallowfield Township. She was born April 20; 1906; in DuBois; the youngest of five children born to William and Martha (Wilson) Nelson. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church of Fallowfield Township; where she attended faithfully until her health failed. Surviving are two daughters; Marlene Bert; of Independence; Mo.; and Peggy Pireaux; of Fallowfield Township; with whom she made her home for many years before moving to Naveah Cove in 2008; seven grandchildren; Tom (Debby) Bert; Terry (Anita) Bert; Troy Bert; Tammy (Scott) Linhart; Tracy (Kreg) Levengood; Debbie (Gary) Kossol and Dana (Jack) Cole.; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Arthur Raisbeck; in 1984; three brothers; Alex; Robert and John Nelson; one sister; Mary Coughlin; and two sons-in-law; Robert Pireaux; in 2004; and Tom Bert; in 2008. Friends will be received in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME; 819 Fallowfield Ave.; Charleroi; on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Saturday; Jan. 24; at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jeff Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. LAVERNE D.ISGITT BANDINI
Laverne D. Bandini; 84; of N. Belle Vernon; who went to be with the Lord Sunday; May 1; 2011; at her home. A daughter of the late Benjamin and Beulah Edna Corley Isgitt; she was born August 1; 1926; in Zwolle; LA. She was a member of Garwood Baptist Church in Daisytown. Laverne is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Gerald Aldo Bandini and his wife Phyllis of Raleigh; NC; one daughter and son-in-law; Arlene D. Boyd and her husband Stuart of Rostraver Twp.; four grandchildren; Allison Boyd of Wexford; Jeffrey and Jeremy Bandini of Raleigh; NC and Jennifer Bandini Turner of NY; four great grandchildren; Dylan Julia; Anna and Claire Bandini all of Raleigh; NC; two sisters; Rachel Free of Schreveport; LA; Katherine Isgitt of TX; three brothers; BC Isgitt and Jimmy Isgitt both of Louisiana; and Donald Isgitt of TX. Laverne also leaves behind two grandpuppies; Oliver and Heidi. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Aldo Bandini on November 14; 2000; and six sisters. ROSS BASILE
Ross Basile; 87; of Belle Vernon; went to be with the Lord on Wednesday; Sept. 14; 2011; after courageously fighting a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Belle Vernon; he was a son of the late Guiseppe and Sarafina Rodgers Basile. Ross was retired from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company after 32 years of service. He was a corporal in the Army Air Force during World War II. Ross enjoyed the art of photography and browsing garage sales and flea markets. He attended watch making school under the GI Bill and was a member of the former Belle Vernon Camera Club. Ross spent many years helping the neighbors and relatives as the family handyman and was a member of the First Baptist Church since 1957; where he served as a trustee. Ross was a faithful and loving husband of 65 years to Anna Mae Connor Basile. Other survivors include three adoring sons and four daughters-in-law; Bill and Dorothy Basile; of Newell; Bob and Cindy Basile; of Perryopolis; Jack and Rose Basile; of McKees Rocks and Lisa Marie Basile; of West Newton. He will be sadly missed by his five loving grandchildren; Lesley Lubrani (Michael); of Rostraver Township; Jodi Mima (Ed); of Washington Township; Jack Basile Jr.; (Wendy); of McKees Rock; Bob Basile (Nina); of Chalk Hill and Brandon Basile; of Belle Vernon; his seven great-grandchildren; Bob; Alec; Joshua; Michael; Mia; Jacob; and Jaxon; and several nieces and nephews. Ross was preceded in death by his youngest son; Ross Andrew Basile; in 2007; and siblings; Carrie Flora; Samuel Basile; James Basile; Rose Greco; Margaret Harrison; Anthony Basile; Roland Basile; Mary Mate; Robert Basile and John Basile.
