William J. Horan; 85; passed away Sunday; Feb. 15; 2009; in Mt. Vernon of South Park. He was born Feb. 20; 1923; in Central City; Pa.; a son of William and Zeta (Baldwin) Horan. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by two brothers; Leroy Horan and David L. Horan; and three sisters; Lucille Badock; Dolores Gallagher and Joanne Deneen. Mr. Horan was an avid square dancer; proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy; and he was a member of American Legion Post No. 659 in Belle Vernon. Mr. Horan also enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. Survivors include his wife of 62 years; Caroline (Chisholm) Horan; of Monessen; two sons; William T. Margaret was a member of the First United Methodist Church and she loved doing ceramics; quilts and rugs. She was born March 9; 1947; in Brownsville; a daughter of the late Willard and Hazel Stuckslager. She was a member of the Pricedale Union Baptist Church in Pricedale. Bonnie was employed for over 20 years by RockTenn in Charleroi.
