Richard Byron Weightman Jr.; 76; of North Fort Myers; Fla.; formerly of Belle Vernon; died of Parkinson’s Disease on Jan. 27; 2011; in Hospice House; Cape Coral; Fla. He was born Feb. 11; 1934; in Fayette City; to Richard Dick and Viola (Colvin) Weightman. Byron graduated from Charleroi High School in 1952. He moved to Florida after retiring from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Allenport. Byron was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. He also was a member of numerous antique car clubs and was a founding member and past president of the Mon Valley Region AACA. Byron’s pride and joy was his garage and wood shop; where he had a personal museum of his lifelong collections and antique cars. Byron is survived by his loving wife of 54 years; Joanne Whitelaw Weightman; his sons; Richard Byron Weightman III and his wife; Sandra; and W. Robert Weightman and his wife; Mary; his daughter; Valinda J. Truax and her husband; Kevin; three grandchildren; Ryan Henry; Lauryn Weightman and Marley Weightman; and two stepgrandsons; Brandon and Bryan Truax. He is also survived by his sister; Janice Miller and her husband; James; of Newnan; Ga.; brother-in-law; Stephen Labosh; of Charleroi; and an aunt; Doris Weightman; of Fayette City; two nieces; and numerous cousins. Anna Fritsky Dobos; 85; of York; Pa.; died Thursday; March 24; 2011; at 8:55 p.m. in her home. Born Oct. 21; 1925; in Pricedale; she was the daughter of the late Wassil and Mary Staranka Fritsky. A resident of York for the past 41 years; Mrs. Dobos was Orthodox by faith and was a retired secretary from West Penn Power; Mitchell Plant. She is survived by her husband; Vincent J. Dobos; to whom she was married 52 years; a son; Vincent E. Dobos; of York; two brothers and a sister-in-law; Alexander Fritsky; William and Nancy Fritsky; two sisters; Helen and Nellie Fritsky; a nephew; John Fritsky; niece; Laura Korte; and three great-nephews; Chase Mattis; Christopher Fritsky and Jacob Fritsky. Melvin J. Anderson; 89; of Lynnwood; Belle Vernon; went to be with the Lord Tuesday; May 14; 2013; in Nevaeh Cove Personal Care Home. A son of the late Arnold and Edith Simon Anderson; he was born in Belle Vernon on April 24; 1924. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; he was a member of the Char-Belle Free Methodist Church and had retired from the Fisher Body Plant of General Motors. An avid rifle and bow hunter; Melvin also enjoyed motorcycles and was a veteran of the U.S. Army; having served during World War II; and had received the Good Conduct Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze stars. Survivors include his wife of 66 years; Doris Fisher Anderson; one daughter and son-in-law; Cheryl and Joe Nagy of Belle Vernon; one son and daughter-in-law; Barry and Carla Anderson of Monongahela; and two grandchildren; Melanie Nagy of Belle Vernon and Cara Anderson of Canonsburg.
