C. Edward Donley; 59; of Presto; passed away Friday; Aug. 21; 2009; in Brighten Gardens of Dayton; Ohio. A son of the late Jess and Ethel Ferenz Donley; he was born in North Charleroi on Nov. 26; 1949. A former resident of both Belle Vernon and Pricedale; he had been a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and had previously been employed by Corning Glass; University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Applied Technologies. Survivors include a friend; Michael Hetrick of Presto; one brother; James Donley of Mt. Pleasant; and several cousins. A funeral Mass will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Lawrence Manchas as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Helen B. Githens; 88; formerly of Belle Vernon; died Monday; July 28; 2008 in the Oak Hill Rehabilitation Center; Greensburg. A daughter of the late George and Helen Surovchak Brindzak; she was born in Pricedale on June 25; 1920. Helen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon and had lived most of her adult life in Belle Vernon. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; Kenneth and Kim Githens; of Greensburg; one daughter and son-in-law; Nancy and Lawrence Ihnet; of Langhorne; one sister; Margaret Kelly; one brother; Andrew Brindzak; and four grandchildren; Jill; Todd and Alan Githens and Stephanie Ihnet. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Robert T. Githens; on January 30; 2000; and one brother; George Brindzak.
