Santo L. Junior Bernardo Jr.; 83; of Belle Vernon; passed away on March 3; 2014; in Country Care Manor. He was born Oct. 29; 1930; in Belle Vernon; a son of the late Santo L. and Theresa Rizzutto Bernardo Sr. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during Korea. He worked as a film editor for Paramount Studios for over 40 years; working on films such as Forrest Gump and Citizen Kane to name a few. Surviving are his wife; Dolores Bernardo of Verando; Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by three brothers; Caltado; Robert Sr.; and Richard Bernardo; and a sister; Carol Bridges. There will be no public visitation or services. Carl H. Radek Sr.; 72; of Pricedale; passed away on Wednesday; Dec. 2; 2009; in Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late Charles and Margaret Corbett Radek; he was born in Pricedale on Feb. 17; 1937. Carl was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church and the American Legion; both of West Newton. He had resided in West Newton until returning to Pricedale in 1995. A U.S. Air Force and Navy veteran; he retired in 1998; after 21 years as a bus driver in the Yough School District. Survivors include his wife of 14 years; Sandy Radek; one daughter and son-in-law; Carla and George Sampuda of Atoka; Tenn.; two sons and daughters-in-law; Carl H. and Robin Radek of Port Royal; Pa.; and Steven and Rosella Radek of Huntingdon; Pa.; two brothers; Marvin Radek and Harry Radek; both of Pricedale; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his first wife; Elverda Shetterly Radek; in 1994.
