Josephine Levandosky Sivic; 74; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver; died Monday; Aug. 23; 2010; at Jefferson Regional Medical Center; after a brief battle with cancer. Born Jan. 9; 1936; in Rostraver; she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Stephania (Nalepa) Levandosky. A lifelong resident of Rostraver; Mrs. Sivic was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; was a retired teacher’s aid from Marion School BVA School District; Intermediate Unit and was a homemaker. She is survived by a son; Martin J. Sivic; of Irwin; daughter; Marla Joan Sivic; of Rostraver; brother; Stanley Levandosky; of Arnold City; sister; Marie Megela; of Donora; two grandchildren; Luke Martin and Adam Martin Sivic; both of Irwin; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Martin Sivic Jr.; Oct. 9; 1994; and a sister; Patricia Lilley. Private visitation and funeral services were held Wednesday; Aug. 25; 2010; with the Rev. Catherine M. Butler; 74; of Greensburg; formerly of Belle Vernon; died Wednesday; July 23; 2008; in her home. A daughter of the late Jesse and Alice Weimer Ashley; she was born June 3; 1934; in Vanderbilt. Catherine was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church and the 2500 Club. George W. Buck Adams; 75; of North Belle Vernon; died suddenly on Wednesday; July 23; 2008. A son of the late George K. and Helen Mae Lehew Adams; he was born in North Belle Vernon on March 14; 1933 and graduated from the former Vernon High School in 1951. Mr. Adams was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; the Mon Valley A.R.C. and the N.A.L.C. He was a former member of the Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 and; more recently; volunteered at the St. Vincent DePaul Society in Monessen. A U.S. Navy veteran; he served during the Korean Conflict. A musician; Mr. Adams played in the following bands: Belle Vernon Musical Society; Belle Vernon Drum and Bugle Corps; the Belle Vernon Community Band and the Mon Valley M.A.R.S. Concert Band. George retired in 1992 after 28 years as a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in Belle Vernon. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Marcia and Chris Suppo; of Greensburg; two sons and one daughter-in-law; Michael G. and Valerie Adams; of North Huntingdon; and Ronald J. Adams; at home; and three grandchildren; Sarah and Emily Adams; of North Huntingdon; and Carli Suppo; of Greensburg. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife; A.
