Eva E. Bird; 93; of Belle Vernon; died Monday; Nov. 3; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Jesse T. and Sarah Belle Brubaker Stricklen; she was born in Jacobs Creek on May 25; 1915. Eva was a member of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene and had resided all of her adult life in Belle Vernon. Survivors include two nieces; including Leona Stewart; of California; Pa.; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a dear friend; Carolyn Desko; of Rostraver Township. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Oliver Bird; on July 22; 1998; three brothers and four sisters. Iona Mae (Pascoe) Scanlon Michener; 93; of Belle Vernon; passed away on Tuesday; Oct. 25; 2011; in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. A daughter of the late Llewellyn and Margaret (Johnston) Pascoe; she was born on May 3; 1918; in Fayette City. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. Prior to retirement she was employed as a receptionist at the former Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law; Marjorie and Matt Denitti; of Perryopolis; and Linda Colcek; of Charleroi; a stepson; George Myford Michener; of Belle Vernon; a brother and sister-in-law; Robert and Elvira Pascoe; of San Bruno; Calif.; a sister; Nancy Trombino; of Belle Vernon; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Born Aug. 18; 1931; in Charleroi; she was a daughter of the late Donald E. and Olive M. Page Santmyer. A resident of Pricedale for the past 47 years; Mrs. Linderman was a member of Pricedale Union Church; was a homemaker and past president of Senior Region of Belle Vernon Moose Chapter 1243. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Arnold and Kimberly L.
