She had resided in Belle Vernon since 1954 and was a member of the Char-Belle Free Methodist Church. Survivors include five daughters and three sons-in-law; Mary Kathryn and William R. He was born July 31; 1934 in New Eagle; Pa.; Son of the late John Stanley Lindey and the late Doretha Rudolph. He was a member of Fairhope Rod & Gun Club; Fayette City American Legion; Former Football Coach for the Fayette City Bulldogs and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.

Irene E. DeFazio Simboli; 91; of North Belle Vernon; died 10:50 p.m. Thursday; Oct. 29; 2009; at Westmoreland Hospital; Greensburg. Born Aug. 12; 1918; in North Belle Vernon; she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Frustaggi DeFazio. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon; Mrs. Simboli was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church. In the early part of her married life; she was employed as a receptionist to the late Dr. John M. Gemmill; of Belle Vernon. Irene was a good cook; loving wife and mother who loved family; and family was her life. She is survived by her husband; Guido L. Simboli; to whom she was married 69 years; three sons and two daughters-in-law; the Rev. Ronald L. Simboli; pastor of the Church of St. Anne; Rostraver Township; Dennis and Terry Simboli; North Belle Vernon; James and Patty Simboli; of Monongahela; three grandchildren; Lana Kubistek and husband; Tim; Matthew Simboli and Ashley Simboli; a great grandson; Hunter; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Guido L. Simboli; 93; of North Belle Vernon; died Tuesday; Nov. 9; 2010; at 6:20 a.m. in St. Anne Home; Greensburg; where he resided for the past one 1/2 years. Born Feb. 14; 1917; in Belle Vernon; he was the son of the late Anelito and Josephine Bonucci Simboli. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon; Mr. Simboli was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; a retired coal miner from Republic Steel Banning Mine 3. He served as recording secretary for 23 years for Local 9873 United Mine Workers Union; served on the safety committee at the mine; was a member of the former Italian Beneficial Society Club of Market Street; Belle Vernon; and was a former knight and 3rd Degree Knight with the Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026 and the former Holy Name Society at St. Sebastian Church. Guido was also an avid hunter; fisherman and gardener. He is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law; Rev. Ronald L. Methodist by faith; Thomas had resided in Rostraver Township for the past 11 years and had formerly resided in State College; Peters Township and Belle Vernon. Thomas retired from the Sears store at South Hills Village; had worked at the former Gaudio’s Men’s Store in Monessen for many years and served in the U.S. Army.
