Loretta (Sergi) Cooper; 73; of Roscoe; formerly of Charleroi; died Sunday; May 3; 2009; in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Aug. 6; 1935; in Belle Vernon; a daughter of the late Samuel and Lillian Sergi. Loretta was Catholic by faith. Surviving is one son; Stephen Michael (Lori) Sergi; of North Charleroi; two daughters: Beverly J. (Richard) Hect; of Flint; Mich.; and Christine A. (Bryan) Thybault; of Roscoe; two brothers: Joe Sergi; of Monessen; and Frank Sergi; of Missouri; one sister; Jenie Sergi; of Ohio; and nine grandchildren: Samantha; Cortney and Jacob Thybault; Jessica; Sherrie; Ricky and Mikey Hect; and Stephen and Derek Sergi. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Marvin Cooper; five sisters: Lena; Kate; Marge; Pauline and Frances; and four brothers: Dave; Sam; James and Dominick. ROBERT JOSEPH TRILLI
Robert Joseph Trilli; 36; died Tuesday; April 28; 2009; in the late evening. He was residing in Irving; Texas; but was formerly of North Belle Vernon; having lived with his parents. Born Oct. 21; 1972; in Monongahela; he was the son of Arthur F. Trilli Sr. and Nancy (Bly) Trilli; of North Belle Vernon. A resident of Irving for the past 10 years; Mr. Trilli was a former member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; Belle Vernon and a delivery truck driver for XPEDX Express Co. He was the youngest of 11 children and was a graduate of Belle Vernon Area High School Class of 1991. Robert was a fun-loving young man who loved to be surrounded by family and friends. He was a huge fan of cars and loved going to car shows with two of his older brothers; Arthur Jr. and William ‘Bill’. He was quite a surprising dancer and was really into line dancing. Along with car shows and line dancing; he had a love for country music with Garth Brooks being his favorite. In addition to his parents; he is survived by five brothers and sisters-in-law: Victor and Kathryn Trilli; of Wichita; Kan.; Arthur Jr. and Barbara Trilli; of Charleroi; Thomas and Marlene Trilli; of Rostraver Township; William and Dawn Trilli; of North Belle Vernon; and Patrick and Kelly Trilli; of Tyler; Texas; five sisters and two brothers-in-law: Celeste Trilli; of Monessen; Annette and Timothy Cope; of Long Branch; Karen (Trilli) Peckyno; of Pittsburgh; Theresa and Paul O’Hara; of St. Marys; Pa.; and Carolyn Trilli; of Monessen; and 26 nieces and nephews. Fannie L. Heath; 74; of Monessen; passed peacefully on Wednesday; April 29; 2009. The daughter of the late Bertha Levy and Aurther Burse; Mrs. Heath was a former Monessen school director and a lifetime member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; Joseph Heath Sr.; her son; Joseph ‘JoJo’ Heath Jr.; and her long-time companion; George C. Robinson. Mrs. Heath is survived by two daughters: Sabrina and Kim Heath; one brother; Richard (Shirley) Grogan Sr.; four grandchildren: 2nd Lt. Brandy Mason; Joseph Heath III; Chelsey Heath and Aubry Heath; three great-grandchildren: Courtnee Heath; Deaubre Lightfoot Jr.; and Jo’Ella Heath; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved family and friends. Mary Kathleen (McKee) Muccino; 69; of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township); died Saturday; April 18; 2009; at 7:55 p.m. Born July 9; 1939; in Monessen; she was the daughter of the late Edward and Theresa (Perry) McKee. A resident of Rostraver Township for the past 45 years; Mrs. Muccino was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon; where she served as a lector and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and a former member of the Parish Council; RCIA team; Liturgy of the Word for Children and Regional Church Council. Mrs. Muccino was an elementary school teacher at St. Sebastian School for 30 years; where she was the seventh grade teacher in addition to teaching sixth; seventh and eighth grade social studies and religion. She was also the teacher sponsor for student council; PJAS; forensics; the teacher representative for the PTG and was the cheerleading coach for 15 years. She is survived by her husband of 50 years; Anthony Muccino Sr.; six sons and two daughters- in-law: Anthony Muccino Jr. and wife Sandra; of Belle Vernon; Jeff Muccino; of Canonsburg; Dan and Nora Muccino; of Carroll Township; Frank Muccino; of Belle Vernon; and Paul Muccino; of Pittsburgh; and Tim Muccino; of Belle Vernon; one brother and sister-in-law; Thomas and Mary Kay McKee; of Greensburg; and three grandchildren: Daniel; Kaitlin and Noah Muccino. John A. Melvin; 77; of Belle Vernon (Fairhope); died Friday; April 17; 2009; in UPMC Mercy; Pittsburgh. He was born Jan. 9; 1932; in Charleroi; the son of the late John P. Melvin and the late Hilda May Walker. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon. Mr. Melvin was a 1950 graduate of Monessen High School and a graduated of the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Connecticut and North American Aircraft in Columbus; Ohio. Mr. Melvin worked as a professional mechanic at Nelson’s Garage; Jack Roley Pontiac; Heister Forklift; Lee Norse Mines and Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Monessen plant. Mr. Melvin was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Brightwell-Daughtery Post No. 484 American Legion in Fayette City. He was the husband of Etta (Lincoln) Melvin; owner and Lincoln Florist in Fayette City. He was an avid collector of cars; fire trucks and Abraham Lincoln memorabilia and books. Mr. Melvin was an amazing artist and had a true passion for animals. He lived for making people laugh; he will be dearly missed by those who loved him. In addition to his wife; he is survived by two daughters: Kelly Jo Ellin and husband Michael; and Merilee Melvin; all of Belle Vernon; four grandchildren: Alexia; Scott; Camden and John Ellin; and one sister; Donna Reppert and husband Ernest; of Belle Vernon.
