Chad Madden; 29; of Belle Vernon; died Thursday; July 2; 2009. A son of the late Luann Chalfant Madden; he was born in Carroll Township on July 31; 1979. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; he was employed as an electrician with Abeck Electric of Pleasant Hills. Survivors include his wife of nine years; Vivian Lubic Madden; three daughters; Carin; Malayna and Alyza Madden; one son; Isaac Madden; all at home; two sisters; Rachel and Nicole Madden; one brother; Russell Madden; and his father and stepmother; Russell and Mary Madden; of Charleroi. Graveside services will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery Friday at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. David Zona officiating. Dorothy A. Wozniak; age 72 of Perryopolis; PA; passed away Saturday; July 4; 2009. She was born December 21; 1936; at Star Junction; PA the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Moxin Uhrin.
Dorothy was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church; Alter Society of Perryopolis; she was an avid Bingo player and card player. She also enjoyed Polka music and dancing.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 50 years Robert J. Wozniak; the following children; Kimberly Smigiel and husband David; Jeffrey Wozniak and wife Lisa; Gregory Wozniak and wife Barbara; Adrienne Briggs and husband Scott; Six Grandchildren; Alyssa; Stephanie; Zachery; Adam; Caileigh; Lauren; one Brother Frank Uhlin and wife Sandy and one Sister Jennie Hall and husband Pete.
In additiont to her parents she was preceded in death by one Brother; John Edward Uhrin and one sister; Kathryn Dailey.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home; Inc.; 305 Rear Independence Street; Perryopolis; PA. Elizabeth J. Betty Klisowski; 87; of Charleroi; passed away peacefully on Tuesday; June 30; 2009; in the Four Oaks Personal Care Home in Monongahela (a special thanks to her caregivers at the Home). She was born Jan. 19; 1922; in Charleroi; a daughter of the late Paul and Mina Ludwig LeClair. Mrs. Klisowski was a member of Mary; Mother of the Church parish in Charleroi. She served in World War II at the rank of a Corporal in the U.S. Army WAC; assigned to the 1020th Army Air Forces Base Unit. She served in France and England. Mrs. Klisowski was a former employee with the Bell Telephone Co. as a telephone operator. She retired from the Charleroi Area School District where she was a crossing guard at the former St. Jerome’s School location. Mrs. Klisowski is survived by two daughters; Nancy Bartman and her husband Terry; of Carroll Township; and Laurie Rizzo and her husband Tim; of Monongahela; four grandchildren; Shanna and Luke Bartman; and Nicholas and Tara Rizzo; two sisters-in-law; Nell Amprim and Mary Klisowski; both of Belle Vernon; several nieces; nephews and cousins; Mika; Mya; Daytona and Nala. In addition to her parents; she is preceded in death by her husband; Paul S. Klisowski; and her brother Paul LeClair.
