Joe Misher; Sr.; 82; of Belle Vernon (Fairhope); died Saturday; Jan. 23; 2010; at 5:23 p.m.; at Monogahela Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. Born Oct. 14; 1927; in Washington Township; he was the son of the late Steve and Catherine Kowasic Misher. A lifelong resident of Fairhope; Mr. Misher; Sr. was Catholic by faith and was a retired Heat Treater from Whg-Pgh Steel; Allenport Plant in the Cold Draw Department. He graduated from Marion High School Class of 1945; he was a veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Coastguard. He was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659; Belle Vernon Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 209; Croation Club of Monessen; Naomi Athletic Club; Citizens Association of Pricedale; Hungarian Club of Pricedale; Fairhope Rod & Gun Club; Croation Fraternal Union of America Lodge 194 and the VFW Belle Vernon Post 699. He is survived by his wife; Catherine Caputo Misher; to whom he was married 57 years; son and daughter-in-law; Joe and Loretta Misher Jr.; of Belle Vernon; sister-in-law; Onie Misher; of Fairhope; uncle; George Misher; of Rices Landing; two nieces; Terry Downer; Margie Yonash and husband Bob; and nephew; Steve Misher; all of Fairhope; three great-nieces; three great-nephews; two great-great-nephews; and a great-great-niece. Margaret Lynn Hollis; 83; of Belle Vernon; passed away Sunday; Dec. 15; 2013; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Hamilton and Rose Weitzel Lynn; she was born in Fairhope on June 30; 1930. Margaret was formerly of Arizona before moving to the Mon Valley in 1972. She was a member of the Perryopolis; Belle Vernon and California Senior Centers; played instruments and sang. She was employed as a caregiver for Dom Care for 21 years until her retirement in 2009. Survivors include three sons; Leonard Lynn Gaskill of Stahlstown; Pa.; Danny Gaskill of Showlow; Ariz.; and Larry Gaskill of Ft. Lauderdale; Fla.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Joseph Hollis in 1980; three brothers; John; Hamilton and George Lynn; and one sister; Flora Belle McGavitt. Henry Crosby Lawson Sr.; 79; of Pricedale; passed away on Wednesday; Jan. 20; 2010; at his home. Born July 23; 1930; in Monessen; he was the son of the late Thomas Lawson and Ada Robinson. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by a sister; Rosetta Allen; brother; John Willie Lawson; and daughter; Gina Marie Lawson. Henry served in the United States Army in the Korean War and was formerly employed by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel for 25 years. He was a beloved father; grandfather; brother; cousin and friend. He is survived by two sons; Henry C. Lawson Jr.; of Monessen; and James Henry (Elise) Pone Sr.; of State College; a brother; George Robinson; of Arizona; and a host of other relatives and friends. Joseph R. Toteda; 95; of Belle Vernon; Washington Township; died Monday; June 24; 2013; at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born July 27; 1917; in Belle Vernon; he was the son of the late Ralph L. and Rose Deluca Toteda. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Mr. Toteda was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; and was retired from the Belle Vernon Area School District maintenance department. He was a veteran of World War II; having served in the U.S. Navy and a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. The last surviving member of his immediate family; he is survived by his very best friends Robert and Mary Lacey of Belle Vernon; a nephew; Donald Novak of Michigan; and many other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife; Mary Tomasko Toteda on Feb. 17; 1996; to whom he was married for 55 years; a brother and sister-in-law; Charles A. and Anne Toteda; three half sisters; Josephine Sack Jones; Fanny Sack Perri; and Anna Sack Smock; and two half brothers; James Sack and Domenic Sack.
