Born Aug. 23; 1920; in Smock; she was the daughter of the late John and Rose Rankowskie Dropchuk. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon; Mrs. Sutovich was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church; member of the St. Barbara’s Altar Guild and retired cleaning private homes and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband; Stanley Sutovich; on March 27; 1999; two sons; Charles Sutovich and Stanley Sutovich Jr.; a grandson; David Evans Jr.; on Jan. 5; 1999; a brother; Theodore J. John N. Jarvis; 84; of Forward Twp. died Tuesday; January 1; 2008 in Mt. Vernon Health Care Center. A son of the late Milton and Ethel Hunter Jarvis; he was born in Forward Twp. on June 30; 1923. John was a lifelong resident of Forward Twp.; worked at the former Donora Works and retired from the former National Tube Works of U.S. Steel in Christy Park where he was a machinist. He also served four years in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Peter J. Paulovich; 85; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Monday; April 15; 2013; at Jefferson Regional Medical Center; Jefferson Borough. He was born May 9; 1927; in Star Junction; the son of the late John and Mary (Drzanich) Paulovich. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 36 years; Mr. Paulovich was Catholic by faith; and was retired from Combustion Engineering; where he worked as a melt foreman. Upon his retirement; he was employed as a security guard. He was a Veteran of World War II; where he served in the Navy. He was a member of the Belle Vernon Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 209 and New Kensington Eagles. The last surviving member of his immediate family; he is survived by a son; Charles Paulovich; of Rostraver Township; two daughters and sons-in-law; Laura J. and Daniel Keenan; of Rostraver Township; Bea Ann and Stanley Kudla of Glassport; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife; Beverly J. Well done; Thy good and faithful servant was heard as Gilbert C. Osborne; 80; of Brownstown; entered into the presence of his Savior on Sunday; Aug. 21; 2011. He was the wonderful husband of 58 years to Kathryn Lorinchak Osborne. He was blessed with four children; Jill (Ron) Auther; Joni (Bill) Hugland; Jon Osborne; and Joy (J.K.) Folmar Jr. He was a Godly grandfather to Ronnie (Alyssa) Auther; Jennifer (Isaac) Younkin; Johnny Folmar; Billy (Ashley) Hugland; Robbie Auther; Becky Hugland; and Jared Folmar; and great-children; David Younkin and Brooke Hugland. Surviving are brothers; Richard; Bert; and Bill Osborne; and many nieces and nephews. Gib was a faithful servant and follower of Jesus Christ; sharing his faith with all he met. He was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church all his life. Gib was proud to serve the country he loved as part of the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Gib worked for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel at Allenport Mill for 35 years. In his retirement; he worked at PIAA Auto Auction. He was welcomed into heaven by his parents; Luke and Edna Muirhead Osborne; sisters; Isabella Gilbert and Jessie Hill; and brother; John Osborne. Funeral services were private. Darnell A. Anderson; 54; of Rayland; Ohio; caught a heaven bound train on Thursday; Aug. 11. He was the son of the late deacon Emmanuel Anderson and Thelma Chapman Anderson. He is survived by wife; Gloria Anderson; of Monessen; two sons; Darnell K. Anderson; of Rayland; Ohio; and Rasheed Anderson; of Monessen; one daughter; Toscha and husband; Marshall Blalock; of Havertown; Pa.; and one grandson; Malek Blalock; of Havertown; brothers; Emmanuel; of San Jose; Calif.; and Leonard and wife; Cynthia Dee; Roscoe and Raven and wife; Jessica; all of Monessen; two sisters; JoAnn Smith; of Uniontown; and Carol Ann Steed; of San Jose; Calif. Preceded in death by siblings MaryAnn; Clarence; and Flora. He was the father-figure to a group of young men in Rayland. He worked as an electrician for the Wheeling-Pitt Steel and was later transferred to the Martin’s Ferry Works. He loved music; cooking; family and friends.
