Robert E. Lees Sr.; 80; of Charleroi; died Wednesday; July 27; 2011; in the Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born June 9; 1931; in Elizabeth; a son of the late Alexander and Mary Wounick Lees Sr. Bob served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Teamsters Local 341; where he was a heavy equipment hauler for over 30 years. Bob enjoyed camping in his retirement years in his motor home. Surviving is his wife; Marjorie Williams Lees; four sons; Clifton Donaldson and his wife Diann of Belle Vernon; Thomas Lees and Christine Motycki of Charleroi; Robert D. Lees and his wife Lisa of Charleroi; and Robert E. Lees Jr. of Belle Vernon; two daughters; Dana Donaldson McCoy of Minn.; and Mercedes Lees Anthony; six grandchildren; Richard Lees; Heather Cain; Dane and Christopher Bombara; Kirsten Lees and Austin McCoy; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents; Bob is preceded in death by his brother; Alexander Lees Jr.; and his grandson Robert E. Lees III. There will be no public visitation. Thomas E. Pitera; 68; of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township); died Monday; Aug. 6; 2012; in Mon Valley Hospital. Born Aug. 23; 1943; in Windber; he was the son of the late Frank and Matilda Ann (Boyle) Pitera. Tom was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Levittown. He was a retired industrial electrician for U.S. Steel Fairless Works and Clairton Works. He enjoyed being a baseball coach for the Pacific Baseball League and enjoyed fishing; hunting; camping and golfing. Tom was also a member of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver Township; where he was active in the Holy Name Society and was an usher. He is survived by his wife of 48 years; Susan L. Edward A. Pottgeiser; 73; of Speers; died on Tuesday; July 31; 2012; in his home. Born on October 26; 1938; in Pittsburgh; he was the son of the late Edward W. and Dorothy Nix Pottgeiser.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church; Charleroi; the Charleroi Italia Unita Club; and the Charleroi Sportsmen Club. He served our country as a member of the United States Coast Guard. He was a retired Optician for Nix Optical; in Charleroi.
Ed is survived by his wife of 41 years; Karen Carrick Pottgeiser; of Speers; son; Edward Chip (Lisa) Pottgeiser; of Harrisburg; daughter; Anita (Bill Garrington) Pottgeiser; of South Carolina; brother; Danny (Linda) Pottgeiser; of Pittsburgh; grandchildren; Kalyssa and Matthew Pottgeiser; and several cousins; nieces and nephews.
