Ernest P. Ehlers; 73; of West Brownsville; formerly of North Belle Vernon; passed away Sunday; March 14; 2010; in West Penn Hospital; Pittsburgh. He was born Oct. 16; 1936; in Waynesboro; a son of the late Ernest P. and Arbelia Smith Ehlers. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon; the Grindstone Lions Club and the Steam; Gas and Horse Association. Ernie was a board member of the Mon Valley Refuse Authority and a former member; past president and a Melvin Jones Award recipient of the Belle Vernon Lions Club. He also served in the Army and; for 42 years; was the sole owner and operator of Ehlers Auto Parts; with stores in North Belle Vernon; Greensburg and Monongahela. Formerly of North Belle Vernon; he has resided in West Brownsville since 2003. Survivors include his wife of 14 years; Sarah Sally McGrail Ehlers; three sisters and two brothers-in-law; Caryl and Gene Linck; of McDonald; Rosemary Sue and Dick Black; of West Brownsville; and Barbara Kennwig; of Virginia; one brother and sister-in-law; David and Elvira Erdenbreck; of York; his dear friends; Melanie and Cathy Yu; of Clinton; N.J.; several nieces and nephews and his loving dogs; Ziba; Crisco; Bumper and Lucky. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by one brother; Richard Ehlers. A daughter of the late Isabelle Mitchell Roberts and Thomas McGrail; she was born in Duquesne on June 30; 1943. Sally was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and the Grindstone Lions Club; where she was a Melvin Jones Award recipient. Along with her late husband; she was the owner and operator of the former Ehlers Auto Parts in Belle Vernon; Greensburg and Monongahela. Harold Jules Bradley; 80; of Lakewood; Colo.; went to be with the Lord after a several month battle with lung cancer on Wednesday; Nov. 28; 2012. A son of the late Charles L. and Hazel Nelson Bradley; he was born in Belle Vernon on Oct. 12; 1932. Harold resided in Belle Vernon until 1968 when he moved to Lakewood. He retired in 2005 from Jefferson County Public Schools; Food Service Department in Colorado. Harold was also a self-employed hairdresser; served in the U.S. Navy; and a member of the VFW in Lakewood. Survivors include his former wife; Wilma Thillip Bradley; two sons; Charles A. Bradley; of Littleton; Colo.; and Christopher A. Bradley; of Lakewood; Colo.; and two sisters; Frances Bradley Boltze and Mabel Bradley; both of Findlay; Ohio. A memorial service will be held in Belle Vernon at a later date. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Mary (Fundy) Praskavich; 86; of Belle Vernon; peacefully passed away Wednesday; July 10; 2013; at the Mt. Vernon of South Park. She was born Dec. 20; 1926; on Morgan Avenue in Monessen; to the late John and Assunta (Santoro) Fundy. Mary spent her adult life in Richmond Hill; N.Y.; where she worked for TWA airlines as a cook. She retired to Coal Center; and then moved to May Street in North Belle Vernon. Mary was a member of St. Sebastian Church; where she sang in the choir. She was a volunteer at the Mon Valley Hospital; a member of the Franciscan Order and a member of The Grange in Long Branch. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; Walter Praskavich. She is mother of Kathryn (Ron) Smith-Eley; of San Tan Valley; Ariz.; and Angela Jeffers; of Belle Vernon; sister of Fred (Betty) Fundy; of Belle Vernon; grandmother of Karen (Grant) Risha; of State College; Kimberly (Chris) Duranti; of Belle Vernon; and Carl (Amy) Smith Jr.; of Moon Township; also survived by seven great-grandchildren. Darrell P. Dobas; 60; of Coal Center; formerly of Belle Vernon; went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with brain cancer on Wednesday; Nov. 13; 2013; in Humbert Lane Nursing Center. A son of the late V. William and Christine Driesen Dobas; he was born in North Charleroi on Nov. 26; 1952. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Coal Center and the National Hot Rod Association. Darrell owned and operated Dobas Transmission Service in Charleroi since 1982.
