Margaret Armentrout;92;of Rostraver Township;died Monday;Feb.9;1998;in Mon Valley Hospital. Born Feb.3;1906;in Belle Vernon;she was the daughter of the late David and Melvina Ammon Harvey. Mrs.Armentrout spent most of her life in Rostraver Township and was a member of the Char-Belle Free Methodist Church in Belle Vernon. She received a two-year certificiate from California Normal School and taught for 26 years in the Monessen School District. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;James Edward Armentrout;in 1986;a son James Armentrout;in 1966;a brother;Harry E.Harvey;in 1972;and two sisters;Ruth Harvey in 1967 and Gladys Hendrick in 1983. Surviving are two nieces;Mrs.Wilson Harbage of Marysville;Tenn.;and Mrs.William (Betty) Schertle of Encino;Calif. Adela Alvarez;89;of Monessen;died Friday;Jan.2;1998;in her residence;following a short illness. She was born Aug.19;1908;in Aneijeira;Spain;a daughter of the late Benigno and Maria Perez-Martinez. A resident of Monessen since moving from Spain in 1932;she was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church;Monessen. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law;Joseph and Mary Alvarez of Carroll Township;Herman and Lena Alvarez of Monessen;and Antonio and Joyce Alavarez of Belle Vernon;three daughters;Mrs.Harvey (Marie) Mull of Library;Adela E.Alvarez;at home;Gloria Vasunda of Monongahela;one brother and two sisters in Spain;13 grandchildren;and 21 great-grandchildren. Kathryn Alessio;79;of 105 Water St.;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;July 13;1997;at 8:20 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Roscoe on Jan.1;1918;she was the daughter of the late John and Julia Olcian Skibo. Mrs.Alessio lived in Belle Vernon for over 60 years;where she was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Domenick (Koke) Alessio on April 15;1992. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law;Charles and Kathleen Alessio of Belle Vernon R.D.5;three brothers;William and Edward Skibo of Roscoe and James Skibo of Applegate;Ore.;two sisters;Julia Rider of Deming;N.M.;and Louise Tentler of Belle Vernon. She was also the special friend of Edward and Betty Misenko;of Belle Vernon;for over 50 years and the godmother of Carol Mazzei of Belle Vernon R.D. Clarence L. PeeWee Anderson;43;of 117 Schoonmaker Ave.;Monessen;died Thursday;May 8;1997;in Mon Valley Hospital.  He was born May 26;1953;in North Charleroi;a son of Emanuel and Thelma Anderson;who survive and reside in Monessen.   A lifelong resident of Monessen;he was retired from Corning Glass;Charleroi.  He was a member of the Gate of Heaven God in Christ Church;Monessen.  Survivors include his wife;Barbara Anderson;three sons;Brandon and Arron Anderson;and Clarence Pettyjohn;one daughter;Janene Anderson;five brothers;Emanuel Anderson of San Jose;Calif.;Lennie and Raven Anderson;both of Monessen;Darnell Anderson of Ohio;and Roscoe Anderson of California;two sisters;JoAnn Anderson of Monessen;and Carol Ann Steed of San Jose.  He was preceded in death by two sisters;Flora Madison and Mary Ann Rawls.  Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Gate of Heaven God in Christ Church;Monessen;where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.with Elder William Bass officiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 

Robert C.Ammon;80;of Belle Vernon R.D.1 (Fellsburg);died Wednesday;March 12;1997;in Mon Valley Hospital. Born Jan.27;1917;in Donora;he was the son of the late Cornelius and Helen Ferguson Ammon. Mr.Ammon was retired from USX;Donora;and the Westmoreland Water Authority. He served in the U.S.Army during World War II. He was a member and a past treasurer of Fells United Methodist Church. He was also past president of the Lebanon School PTA;a member of Rostraver AARP and was active in the Boy Scouts. Surviving are his wife;Vivian Winstone Ammon;a daughter;Mrs.Thomas (Sharyn Ammon) Rohaly of Cary;N.C.;three brothers;Cornelius Ammon of St.Petersburg;Fla.;the Rev.Jack Ammon of Deland;Fla.;and Donald Ammon of Orange City;Fla.;two sisters;Ruth Cochran and Virginia Myett;both of Deland;Fla.;and a granddaughter;Jill Ammon Rohaly at North Carolina State University in Raleigh.
