Preceding her in death was
her husband; Harry; in 1978.
Surviving are two nephews;
Roy and William; both of Belle
Vernon; and four nieces; Mrs.
Elinor Pienkoski of Corning;
N Y ; Mrs. Leroy (Doris) Columbus of New Castle; Mrs.
Pauline Barr of Parkvale;
Mr. and Mrs. Lorelei Horrell
of Fayette City.
Services were held at the
Shelby Ferguson Funeral
Home; Belle Vernon; at 11
a.m. with the Rev. Allie A.
Clayton officiating. Burial
was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Howard Francis Burrows;65;of 320 Roley St.;Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;Nov.13;in his residence. He was the son of the late James and Baldwina Costello Burrows. He was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon;a U.S.Army veteran of World War II and retired from the Donora Southwestern Railroad. He was also a member of St.Sebastian Church of Belle Vernon. Preceding him in death were three brothers;James Jr.;Walter and Clarence. Friends are being received in the Leonard Parzynski Funeral Home;Belle Vernon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m.Friday;Nov.16;1979;in St.Sebastian Church. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

died in Mon Valley Hospital at
10:50 p.m. Sunday;Nov.11;1979.
She was born March 7;1892;
the daughter of the late Henry
and Amelia Arnold Billion in
Belgium.
Her husband; Arthur; died
on March 27 of this year. She
was also preceded in death by
a daughter; Matilda Gray; a
sister; Lucy Eckart; and two
brothers; Joseph and Edward
Billion.
She is survived by a son;
Charles of Charleroi; a
daughter; Mrs. Angelo
(Yvonne) Capella of
Charleroi; a brother; Jules; of
Providence; R.I.; and a sister;
Mrs. Alice Davis of Hartford;
Conn. Additional survivors include four grandchildren and
13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
conducted at the Leonard
Pavlic Funeral home at 11
a.m. Thursday with the Rev.
Francis Blair officiating.
Burial will be in Belle Vernon
Cemetery.

to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from

Paul Brazack;65;Hackensack;N.J.;formerly of Belle Vernon;died at Wellington Hall Nursing Home in Hackensack on Saturday;Oct.27;1979 at 12:50 a.m. Born in Grindstone April 13;1914;he was the son of the late George and Mary Cirbus Brazack. He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation’s Allenport plant. He was a member of St.John’s Lutheran Church of Charleroi and the Elks lodge in Charleroi. He was preceded in death by his wife;Angelina Flora Brazack in October of 1971. He is survived by a daughter;Mrs.Judith Stephens;Little Ferry;N.J.;a brother;Martin Brazack of Miami;Fla.;and two grandsons. Services were held Monday;Oct.29;1979 at 10:30 a.m. from the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home in Belle Vernon and at 11 a.m. from St.John’s Lutheran Church in Charleroi;Rev.Stephen C.Hurnyak officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Layton Beery; died Saturday;Oct.6;1979;
at her home at 1105 State
Road; Monessen.
She was 95. Born in Dawson; she was
one of the owners of the former
Beery’s Food Store for
many years.
She was a member of the
First Christian Church of
Monessen; a 53-year member
of the Order of Eastern Star
205; and a member of the
Monessen Woman’s Club for
50 years. Surviving are three
daughters; Mrs. Eloise Bow of
Gettysburg; Mrs.Gladys
Hamill of Weirton; W.Va. and
Mrs. Harry (Carmen) Touche
of Monessen; with whom she
lived. Also surviving are six grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
