Melissa A. Brown; two sons;

Dakota and Mrs. Barbara

Mrs.Bowers was born March 24;1896;in Plum Run;W.Va.;a daughter of the late Dempsey D.and Similda Headley Haines. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Charleroi. She was preceded in death by her husband;LLoyd Bowers;on Jan.7;1975. Survivors include one brother;Clyde D.Haines of Florence;Pa.;and several nieces and nephews. Harry Billger of the Belle
Vernon Apartments died Friday;January 13;1978 at 11:05 p.m. in
Charleroi Division of Mon
Valley Hospital. He was 72.
Mr. Billger was born in
McKeesport on Nov. 1; 1905; a
son of the late William and
Ella Billger.
He had lived in the Belle
Vernon area since 1920 and
formerly owned and operated
Billger’s Men’s Store in North
Belle Vernon.
Mr. Billger also worked for
Model Dry Cleaning Company
in Charleroi for 25 years
before retiring in 1965 due to ill
health.
He is survived by his widow;
Opal Horrell Billger; and five
nieces and nephews; Mrs.
Leroy (Doris) Columbus of
New Castle; Mrs. Eleanor
Pienkoski of Corning; N.Y.;
Mrs. Lorelei Horrell of

Margaret Sergi Acton;71;of Crest Avenue Apartments;Charleroi;died Monday;Oct.30;2000;at 6:30 a.m. in Hudson;Ohio. Born Nov.23;1929;in Belle Vernon;she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lillian Dugan Sergi. Mrs.Acton was a member of Mary;Mother of the CHurch Parish;Charleroi. She retired in 1990 from Mon Valley Hospital where she served as union president for many years. She spent most of her life in the Charleroi area. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law;Lawrence and Kathy Acton;and grandson Lawrence Jr.of Hudson;Ohio;three brothers;Frank Sergi of Branson;Mo.;Samuel Sergi of Belle Vernon and John Sergi of Monessen;two sisters;Loretta Cooper of Charleroi and Jeannie Neinhouse of Columbus;Ohio;numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by four sisters;Pauline Woodering;Frances Caputo;Kathryn Uhor and Lena Jampetro;and three brothers;James Sergi;Domenic Sergi and David Sergi. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

He was born Feb.14;1927;in Monessen;a son of the late Frank and Mary Senitta Andrako. He was retired from the Monessen plant of Wheeling/Pittsburgh Steel Corp.;and was a member of the Harmony Presbyterian Church;Belle Vernon. He served in the U.S.Army Air Corps during World War II.
