He was a former resident of Brownsville. Mr.Baird had been as employee of the Monongahela Railroad;retiring in 1953. He was a member of the Allenport United Methodist Church. Mr.Baird was preceded in death by his wife;Lenora Thompson Baird;on June 9;1977;and one son;Jack Baird;in July 1975. Olga Boyle of 7600 Harpers Drive;Oxen Hill;Md.;formerly of Green St.;Belle Vernon;died Friday;March 17;1978 in Prince George General Hospital following an illness of several years. She was born June 24;1907 in Monessen;a daughter of the late John and Ida Anderson Nelson. Mrs.Boyle lived in Belle Vernon most of her life and had been making her home with her daughter in Oxen Hill for the past year. She was a member of St.Sebastian Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Her husband;Hugh J.Boyle preceded her in death in March of 1977. Samuel Benedetti;732 Henry St.;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;March 15;1978;at 11:05 a.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was 75. Born in Italy;June 30;1902;he was the son of the late William and Sarah Barli Benedetti. He was a resident of Belle Vernon for 50 years. Mr.Benedetti had been employed as a foreman at the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel No.4 Hot Mill;Allenport Plant. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon and was past board member and president of both the Belle Vernon Golden Age Assembly and the Charleroi Golden Agers. He was also a memeber of the Monessen and Fayette City Golden Agers and the Senior Citizens of Monessen. Mr.Benedetti is survived by his widow;Elsie Maund Benedetti;one son;Dr.William R.Benedetti of Elizabeth Twp.;dean of education at California State College;three brothers;Bruno;Reno and Adelmo Benedetti;all of Cleveland;Ohio;one sister;Mrs.Octavia Hogue of Cleveland;Ohio;and two grandchildren;Dr.William L.Benedetti of Versailles and Robert K.Benedetti of White Oak.
