She was born in Belle Vernon Sept.19;1914;daughter of the late Nelson and Josephine Simpson;and was reared in the Belle Vernon area. She was a former member of Speer Street A.M.E.Church. Her husband;Raymond;preceded her in death July 20;1970. Survivors include three daughters;Mrs.Leroy (Wanda) Colquitt of Columbia;Md.;Mrs.Jesse (Gweneath) Tart of Landover;Md.;and Eleanor Chilton of Columbia;Md.;two sons;William of Laurel;Md.and Wayne of Gary;Ind.;two sisters;Mrs.Vincent (Velma) Frazier of Belle Vernon and Mrs.John (Betty) Dillard of Belle Vernon;three brothers;Nelson Simpson of Seattle;Wash.;Robert Simpson of Belle Vernon and Harry Dale Simpspn of Monessen;seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Angelo T.Cocca;83;of 404 Fourth St.;Monessen;died Wednesday;Feb.27;1980;in Mon Valley Hospital. He was a member of the St.Cajetan Catholic Church;Monessen;the Monessen Sons of Italy;and the Monessen Eagles. He has been a Monessen resident since 1941. He was preceded in death by his wife;Frances Cocca;on May 31;1970;and a daughter;Mrs.Mary Turkovich;on June 2;1979. Survivors include a daughter;Rita;at home;nine grandchildren;two great-grandchildren;and one sister in Italy. Funeral services for Willie Copeland;67;will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.in the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home;Monessen;with the Rev.Samuel Greene officiting. Mr.Copeland died Tuesday night;Jan.8;1980;when fire swept through his Wickhaven Hollow duplex home. Fire officials believe smoking in bed caused the blaze. A World War II veteran and retired Clairton Mill worker;he was born May 12;1912 in Clinton;S.C. He was the son of the late Charles and Josephine Jones Copeland. Survivors include a sister;Minnie Copeland;a nephew;William Moore;and a niece;Sadie Moore;all of Washington;D.C.;and many other nieces and nephews. Arthur J.Chapman;52;of 803 Lookout St.;Monessen;died Sunday;Jan.6;1980;at the Veteran’s Hospital;Pittsburgh. A retired mill worker from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.;he was the son of Thelma Green Chapman and the late William H.Chapman. He was born March 17;1927 in Monongahela. In addition to his mother;survivors include a sister;Mrs.Thelma Anderson of Monessen;and numerous nieces and nephews. George K. Cover; 68; of 416
Henry St.; Belle Vernon; died
at 2:22 p.m. Sunday;Oct.28;1979 at Mon
Valley Hospital.
He was retired from the
Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. as an
inspector.
Mr. Cover was born Aug. 13;
1911; in Sharon; the son of
Samuel and Wilheima Cover.
He married Helen Davison;
who survives.
He was a lifelong member of
the Belle Vernon area and a
member of the 1st United
Methodist Church of that city.
He was also a member of the
Belle Vernon American
Legion Post 659.
Funeral services will be
held at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home; 626 Broad
Ave.; Belle Vernon; with the
Rev. Lee Dinsel officiating.
Burial will be at Belle Vernon
Cemetery.
Friends may call at the
funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.
Monday and from 3 to 5 p.m. and
7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
In addition to his wife; Mr.
Cover is survived by a
daughter; Mrs. William H.
(Patricia) Winnett of
Charleroi; one son; Samuel D.
Cover of Belle Vernon; one brother; William Cover of
Morgantown; W. Va.; one
sister; Mrs. Elaine Earl of
Lansing; Mich.; and three grandchildren.
