She was born in Belle Vernon Sept.19;1914;daughter of the late Nelson and Josephine Simpson;and was reared in the Belle Vernon area. She was a former member of Speer Street A.M.E.Church. Her husband;Raymond;preceded her in death July 20;1970. Angelo T.Cocca;83;of 404 Fourth St.;Monessen;died Wednesday;Feb.27;1980;in Mon Valley Hospital. He was a member of the St.Cajetan Catholic Church;Monessen;the Monessen Sons of Italy;and the Monessen Eagles. He has been a Monessen resident since 1941. He was preceded in death by his wife;Frances Cocca;on May 31;1970;and a daughter;Mrs.Mary Turkovich;on June 2;1979. Mr.Copeland died Tuesday night;Jan.8;1980;when fire swept through his Wickhaven Hollow duplex home. Fire officials believe smoking in bed caused the blaze. A World War II veteran and retired Clairton Mill worker;he was born May 12;1912 in Clinton;S.C. He was the son of the late Charles and Josephine Jones Copeland. Survivors include a sister;Minnie Copeland;a nephew;William Moore;and a niece;Sadie Moore;all of Washington;D.C.;and many other nieces and nephews. He was retired from the
Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. as an
inspector.
Mr. Cover was born Aug. 13;
1911; in Sharon; the son of
Samuel and Wilheima Cover.
He married Helen Davison;
who survives.
He was a lifelong member of
the Belle Vernon area and a
member of the 1st United
Methodist Church of that city.
He was also a member of the
Belle Vernon American
Legion Post 659.
Funeral services will be
held at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home; 626 Broad
Ave.; Belle Vernon; with the
Rev. Lee Dinsel officiating.
Burial will be at Belle Vernon
Cemetery.
Friends may call at the
funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.
Monday and from 3 to 5 p.m. and
7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
