Catholic by faith;he had lived in Connellsville since 1978 and formerly lived in Belle Vernon. A U.S.Army veteran of World War II;he retired in 1982 from the Clairton plant of U.S.Steel Corp. W.Keith Beckinger;81;of Carroll Township;died Sunday;Aug.1;1999;at 6:35 p.m.in his home. Born Feb.16;1918;in Webster;he was a son of the late William and Anna Elder Beckinger. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Donora. Mr. Beckinger was a member and past exalted ruler of Donora Elks Lodge 1265. He was also past state vice president of B.P.O.Elks. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 626 of Donora and a member and past president o Rostraver AARP. A 1958 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh;Mr.Beckinger was retired from U.S.Steel Donora plant with 30 years service. At the time of his retirement;he was employed as personnel director. Formerly of Donora;he had been a resident of Carroll Township the past 43 years. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Phyllis Muir Beckinger;who died Dec.6;1994;and a brother;Eugene Beckinger. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law;Robert Beckinger of Donora and Terry D.snd Deborah Beckinger of Michigan City;Ind.;and three grandchildren;Brian;Craig and Amanda Beckinger.
