1988 and was formerly of
Monongahela and Wilson.
Survivors include her husband
of 63 years; George J. Briskey;
two daughters and sons-inlaw; Janice E. and Ray Shutterly of Belle Vernon and Joan
and Michael G. Bozik of Warrenton; Va.; two sisters; Betty
Gibson of Port Charlotte; Fla.
and Jean Wagner of Clairton;
seven grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren. Friends

John l.Bartus;79;of Mt.Pleasant;died Monday;Oct.18;1999;in Means Personal Care Home;Dunbar Township. Born March 8;1920;in Rostraver Township;he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary Fodor Bartus. Catholic by faith;he had lived in Connellsville since 1978 and formerly lived in Belle Vernon. A U.S.Army veteran of World War II;he retired in 1982 from the Clairton plant of U.S.Steel Corp. Survivors include a sister;Mary Nagy of Belle Vernon;a brother;Steve Bartus of Donora;several nieces and nephews;including Robert J.Nagy of Roscoe;Paul Corbett of Belle Vernon;Dr.Barbara Chou of Seattle;Wash.;Margaret Comiskey of Mr.Pleasant;Shirley Newman of Monongahela;Marge Goodrum of Belle Vernon and Kathy Zumpetta of Philadelphia. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Ruth Burkett Bartus;in 1994;and two brothers;Albert and Frank Bartus. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Legion of Mary of St.Sebastian Church will meet in the funeral home on Wednesday at 3 p.m. to recite the Rosary. W.Keith Beckinger;81;of Carroll Township;died Sunday;Aug.1;1999;at 6:35 p.m.in his home. Born Feb.16;1918;in Webster;he was a son of the late William and Anna Elder Beckinger. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Donora. Mr. Beckinger was a member and past exalted ruler of Donora Elks Lodge 1265. He was also past state vice president of B.P.O.Elks. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 626 of Donora and a member and past president o Rostraver AARP. A 1958 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh;Mr.Beckinger was retired from U.S.Steel Donora plant with 30 years service. At the time of his retirement;he was employed as personnel director. Formerly of Donora;he had been a resident of Carroll Township the past 43 years. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Phyllis Muir Beckinger;who died Dec.6;1994;and a brother;Eugene Beckinger. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law;Robert Beckinger of Donora and Terry D.snd Deborah Beckinger of Michigan City;Ind.;and three grandchildren;Brian;Craig and Amanda Beckinger.
