Joseph Caputo;33 Robin Hill Lane;Levittown;died Friday;Dec.28;1984 at 12:56 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 66. Mr.Caputo was born April 8;1918 in Belle Vernon;the son of the late John and Mary Alessio Caputo. He had been visiting in Belle Vernon at the time of his death. Mr.Caputo had been a resident of Levittown the past 30 years and previously lived in Belle Vernon. He was Catholic by faith and was retired from the U.S.Steel Fairless Works coke plant. Survivors include his wife;Jessie Michener Caputo;two sons;John and Joseph Caputo of Levittown;three sisters;Mrs.Rose Teano;Mrs.Joseph (Catherine) Misher and Mrs.Ralph (Virginia) Swantek;all of Belle Vernon;and two grandchildren. There will be no public visitation and services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Belle Vernon Cemetery Chapel. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Frank Carlton Crow of 213 Marston St.;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;Aug.26;1984;at 8 a.m. at his home. He was 61. Mr.Crow was born April 27;1923;in Roscoe;a son of the late Frank A.and Ina Hamilton Crow. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. Mr.Crow retired from the Monessen Southwestern Railroad of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.where he had worked as a foreman. He had also worked as a professional photographer. He was a member of Belle Vernon F&AM Lodge 643;Uniontown Lodge of Perfection;Monessen Royal Arch Chapter 290 and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite. Mr.Chuhanic was born Oct.2;1912;in Webster;a son of the late John and Mary Macik Chuhanic. A lifelong resident of the mid-Mon Valley;he was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Mr.Chuhanic retired as a self-employed contractor in 1975. Born Jan.4;1919;in Elm Grove;W.Va.;he was a son of the late Robert Cowell and Ellen Cowell Ekhardt of Belle Vernon;who survives. in addition to his father;Mr.Cowell was preceded in death in 1980 by two sisters;Leah Niemela and Hila Petrick. Mr.Cowell was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. He served in the United States Army-Air Force during World War II. Mr.Cowell retired in 1975 as a foreman in the hot mill at the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He was a member in the Masonic Lodge F&AM of California;a charter member of the Roscoe American Legion;and a member of Arden Calvert Post 167 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Charleroi. Mr.Cowell was formerly associated with professional baseball as a member of the St.Louis and Detroit farm systems. From 1935 to 1950;he was active in baseball and soccer in the Mon Valley.
