Mrs.Carson was born April 19;1896;in Scott Haven;a daughter of the late James Henry and Sally Jones. She had been a resident of the Pricedale and Arnold City area all of her life. She was also Mother of the church until she became ill. Born Oct.19;1919;in Rhine;Ga.;she was a daughter of the late Robert Wilcox and Leila Wilcox Barkley. Mrs.Carson came to Pennsylvania at an early age and spent most of her childhood and adult life in the mid-Mon Valley area. She was a former member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Monessen and when she moved to Pricedale;Mrs.Carson became a member of the Pleasant Green A.M.E.Church. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by three brothers;Raby;Walter and Cortez Wilcox and a sister;Alyce Wilcox. Charles D.Couser of Webster died Tuesday;Sept.17;1985;at Jefferson Hospital. He was 76. Born in Braddock;March 26;1909;he was a son of the late Arch and Mary Couser. Mr.Couser was a Protestant by faith. He retired from the former U.S.Steel Works in Donora. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a daughter;Barbara Tomcanin in 1975. He married the former Harriett Staff;who survives;on June 28;1930;and the couple recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Virginia Dodd Cooper of 1821 Black Gap Road;Fayetteville;died Wednesday;Aug.21;1985;at 1:45 p.m. in the Chambersburg Hospital. She was 81. Mrs.Cooper was born May 25;1904;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of George L.Dodd who died in 1954 and Sara Etheridge Dodd who died in 1948. A graduate of Wilson College in Chambersburg;she had taught school in Belle Vernon fro several years. From 1932 until 1967 Mrs.Cooper was a professor at Wilson College;retiring as head of the French Department. She is survived by one cousin. There will be no public visitation.
