Funeral services were held Tuesday morning;June 18;1985;for Mary Jane Carlson of Main Street;McKean;Pa.;who died Saturday;June 15;1985;at St.Vincent Health Center;Erie. She was 84. Mrs.Carlson was born Nov.10;1900;in Westland;Pa.a daughter of the late Ernest and Ida Wilczynski. Raised and educated in the Belle Vernon area;she moved to McKean about five years ago. Mrs.Carlson was a member of the Sterrettania Christian Alliance Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband;Charles Carlson;in 1964;and by a son;George Carlson;1980. Survivors include two sons;Kenneth Carlson of Attloboro;Mass.;and Charles J.Carlson;with whom she made her home in McKean;one brother;Edward Wilczynski of Saddlebrook;N.J.;four grandchildren;and ten great-grandchildren. James H.Connoley of Elizabeth R.D.3;formerly of the Webster area;died Friday;May 31;1985;t 5:30 a.m. in the Waddington Convalescent Home. He was 95. Born Aug.17;1889;in Blythedale;Pa.;he was a son of the late James and Sarah Walker Connoley. Mr.Connoley retired from the former U.S.Steel Works in Donora after 43 years of service in the blast furnace utilities. Mr.Connoley was a member of the Webster United Methodist Church. She and her late son;Melvin;established The Pie Shoppe in Laughlintown near Ligonier in 1947 and she was active in its operation until her retirement.
