Leon Delzangle;79;of Monessen;died Friday;March 2;1990;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township;after a declining illness. Mr.Delzangle was born Aug.12;1910;in Monessen;a son of the late Morcelin and Augustin Joussen Delzangle. He was a retired employee of the Blooming Mill Department of the Monessen Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. A Lutheran by faith;Mr.Delzangle had been a Monessen resident all of his life. He was a U.A.Army veteran of World War II. Mr.Delzangle was a member ofthe Allison-Lescanac Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No.1190;Monessen;the United Steel Workers of America and the Mon Valley Association of Retired Steelworkers (MARS). He was also a social member of the Monessen Volunteer Fire Department’s Hilltop Social Club. Two sisters and five brothers are deceased. Surviving are his wife;Elizabeth Beres Delzangle;one son;Raymond Delzangle;of Monessen;three daughters;Mrs.ALbert (Marlene) Morgan of New Stanton;Mrs.Dennis (Barbara) Ries of Perryopolis;and Mrs.Paul (Catherine) Temoshenka of Monessen;and seven grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Robert A.Billick Funeral Home;Inc.;Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue;Monessen. Theodore Frankie Dropchuk;65;of 906 Hill St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;Feb.26;1990;at 11:22 p.m.in the Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. He was born April 12;1924;in Logan;W.Va.;a son of the late John and Rose Rankowskie Dropchuk. Mr.Dropchuk was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church of Belle Vernon and had resided in the Belle Vernon area for the past 17 years. He was retired from the U.S.Navy after 20 years of service as a merchant first class. He had served during World War II and was present at the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He is survived by two brothers;Paul Dropchuk of Florida and Sam Dropchuk of Michigan;five sisters;Mrs.Stanley (Anna) Sutovich of Belle Vernon;with whom he made his residence;Mrs.Julia Vinlimpglio;Mrs.Catherine Monette;Mrs.Raymond (Helen) Gretch and Mrs.Raymond (Susie) Cee;all of Michigan;and several nieces and nephews. E.Jean Duwall;70;of Belle Vernon R.D.2;died at her home Saturday;Nov.11;1989. She was born in Rostraver Township March 1;1919;a daughter of the late James W.and Sarah Rankin Duwall. Miss Duwall was a retired director of the School of Anesthesiology at St.Francis Hospital;Pittsburgh. She held memberships in the Rehoboth United Presbyterian Church of Rostraver Township and the A.A.R.P.of Rostraver Township. She graduated from Rostraver High School in 1936 and was a graduate of St.Francis School of Nursing. She was a member of the Alumni Association of California University of Pennsylvania. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by two brothers;John E.Duwall in 1978 and James Duwall in 1986;and two sisters;Mary I.Duwall and M.Eleanor Duwall. she is survived by three sisters;Mrs.Phyllis Smith of Farmington;Mich.;Mrs.June Sanders of North Royalton;Ohio and Mrs.Margaret (Peggy) Jolley of Fayette City;and several nieces and nephews. There will be no public viewing. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Belle Vernon Cemetery. George Dohanich;68;of Fairhope;Belle Vernon;died Monday;Nov.6;1989;at 10 p.m. in Mercy Hospital;Pittsburgh. Mr.Dohanich was born May 5;1921;in Fayette City;a son of the late John and Mary Balluch Dohanich. He retired from the basic oxygen furnace (BOF) department of the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.in 1977. Mr.Dohanich was a member of St.Mary Byzantine Catholic Church;Monessen;and the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club. He had been a resident of Fairhope since 1947. His wife;Irene Hegedus Dohanich;died Aug.24;1989. Two brothers;Mike and Andrew Dohanich;are also deceased. Surviving are three daughters;Georgetta Burger of Monessen;Jean Ciliberti of Belle Vernon and Joan Dohanich of Vanderbilt;four grandchildren;one brother;John Dohanich;of Las Vegas;Nev.;and five sisters;Anna Grofik of Vestal;N.Y.;Mary Selich of Riverview;Mich.;Helen Luzanski of Belle Vernon;Christina Rihtarcik of Fayette City;and Julia Consonery of Belle Vernon. She was born May 22;1895;in McKeesport;a daughter of the late Peter and Pearl Bonini. She was a member of St.Timothy Roman Catholic Church;Smithton;the Confraternity of Christian Mothers;Catholic Daughters of America;and the Ladies Guild of St.Leonard Roman Catholic Church of Monessen. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Gabriel Delzangle in 1972;three brothers;Frank;Lewis and Ben;and three sisters;Theresa Carcelli;Mary Bonari and Corrine Lupori. Irene M.Dohanich;68;of Fairhope;died on Thursday;Aug.24;1989;at 7:40 p.m. in Elder Crest Nursing Home at Munhall after a lengthy illness. She was born in Washington Twp.on Jan.25;1921;a daughter of the late Paul and Mary Butsman Hegedus. Mrs.Dohanich was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She was a member of St.Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Monessen. Survivors include her husband;George Dohanich;three daughters;Georgetta Burger of Monessen;Jean Ciliberti of Belle Vernon and Joan Dohanich of Vanderbilt;one sister;Bertha Astle of Detroit;Mich.;and four grandchildren. He was born in Belle Vernon;Oct.16;1908;a son of the late Michael and Victoria Gerini Donnini. Mr.Donnini was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;the Belle Vernon Golden Agers and the Golden Tones. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Golden Agers and belonged to the Rostraver and Star Junction Sportsmen’s Associations. He was a resident of Belle Vernon his entire life and had retired in 1974 from Pittsburgh Steel Company;Monessen Plant. A lifelong resident of the Dunlevy and Speers areas;Mrs.Dooley was a member of Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church;Charleroi;and its Altar Society. She was also a member of Court Belle Vernon Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
