She was a retired employee of
Corning Glass Works in
Charleroi.
A resident of Monessen for the
past 49 years; Mrs. Dickerson
had been raised in Cedar Hill;
Tenn.
She was a member of the Mt.
Calvary Baptist Church;
Monessen; serving as vice president of both the Senior Missionaries and Nurses’ Board of
the church.
Surviving are her husband;
John Dickerson; three sons;
John Louis Dickerson of Ridgeway; S.C.;Charles Bubby” Dickerson of Monessen; and
James Gangbuster Dickerson
of Charleroi; four daughters;
Grace Thomas of Monessen;
Shirley Mitchell of Washington;
D.C.; Barbara Frost of
Monessen and Roxane Carolyn
Coles of Memphis; Tenn.; a
brother-in-law; Charles Dickerson of Carroll Township; and
two sisters-in-law; Othelia
Dickerson of Carroll Township
and Louise Turner of Charleroi;
22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in

Mrs. Doolas was a member of
St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox
Church; Monessen and the
Ladies Philoptochos Society of
the Church.
In addition to her parents; she
was also preceded in death by
her husband; Pete; in 1960; and
by two daughters; Despina
Doolas; in 1929; and Despina
Ploussas; in 1985. Numerous
brothers and sisters are also
deceased.
Surviving are one daughter;
Mrs. Cono J. (Stella Doolas)
Pezzino (with whom she made
her home) of Speers; four
grandchildren; Mary Ann
Papantonakis of Speers; Mrs.
Steve (Irene) Douglas of
Canonsburg; Gregory Ploussas
of Frehold; N.J.; and Peter
Ploussas of Mine Hill; N.J.; and
nine great-grandchildren.

Mr.DuPree was born June 2;1918;in Dublin;Ga.;a son of the late Purvey and Lenora DuPree. He retired as a steelworker from the former Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Surviving are his stepmother;Aggie Lee Dupree of Belle Vernon;a brother;Harding DuPree of Arnold City;Belle Vernon;two sisters;Rosa McCarthy and Geneva Calloway;both of Arnold City;Belle Vernon;and many nieces and nephews.
