Born Aug. 10; 1914; in Monessen; he was the son of the
late Michael and Sophia Svirida Pfiester.
Mr. Fister was retired from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel
Corp.
He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman
Catholic Church; its Holy Name and Sacred Heart societies; the Franco-Belgian Beneficial Society; the Croatian Club and MARS; all of Monessen.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by a son;Albert J. Fister Jr.. and four
brothers; Stephen; Michael; Martin and Larry Pfiester.
Surviving are his wife; Mary
Torbar Fister; a daughter-in-law; Mary Ann Fister Kinney of
Belle Vernon; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law; Chad and Heather Fister of Belle Vernon: and a great-granddaughter; Rachel Fister of Belle Vernon.Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Robert A. She was also a member of Friends of the Monessen Public Library. Mrs.Feehan was a fomer employee of Brookvale Manufacturing Company;Rostraver Township. Mrs.Flanagan was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon and was a volunteer with the Belle Vernon Meals on Wheels program. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II;having served in the European and Asiatic Pacific Theaters of Operation.
