Mr.Grant was a graduate of Charleroi Area High School with the Class of 1969. He was Protestant by faith and had been employed at the Martins Ferry;W.Va.;plant of Wheeling-Pittsburh Steel Corp. He was a member of the Belgium Club;American Legion Post 22;Russian Club and Italia Unita Club;all of Charleroi;and the Slovak Citizens Club of North Charleroi. He retired as a superintendent
of production planning of the
Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by his
wife; Elizabeth on Dec. 25;1967.
Mr. Glasgow is survived by
two sons; Robert L. Glasgow of
Monroe; N.C.; and Richard H.
Glasgow of Clearwater; Fla.;
and six grandchildren.

He was born in Gallatin on July 13;1912;a son of the late Jesse and Mary Ann Hobaugh Grant. Mr.Grant was a retired Free Methodist minister;having served in the Ohio and Oil City conferences of the Free Methodist Church. He retired in 1978 after 35 years of service to the ministry. The last churches he served in the Oil City Conference were Titusville;Oil City First;New Castle and Dubois. He was a graduate of God’s Bible School;Cincinnati;Ohio. He was married July 5;1935;to Evelyn Hammitt Grant;who survives. He is also survived by a brother;Robert Lee Grant of Charleroi. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a sister;Mary Amelia Wetz;and brothers;Jesse;David;Benson;John;William Jennings;Earl;Walter and Richard. He was born May 19;1923;in Connellsville;a son of the late Arthur and Mabelle Callaway Gordan. He was employed with Stern Furniture Co.until his retirement. He was a resident of the Pricedale area most of his life;formerly living in Connellsville. He was a member of the Pleasant Green A.M.E.Church;Pricedale;where he served as head steward and as a Sunday school teacher. He was active in all church functions and was a member of Teamsters Local Union 872. He was a U.S.Army veteran. Survivors include his wife;Ida Carson Gordan;one daughter;Evelyn Gordan of Chicago;one brother;William Gordan of Long Beach;Calif.;and numerous nieces and nephews.
